By transport you mean getting around on the EL / bus etc? I would buy a week pass for the public transport. Got the pink and blue line nearby plus the bus (#7) along Harrison.

I am planning on going 2-9 June as that is when the Cubs play the Rockies and I can watch Nolan Arenado

Always use PT and that is one of the main reasons for looking at this place on airbnb, it is 5 minutes from RUSH and a few options

My advice? Look for things on the brown or pink line. Pilsen, Bucktown, Lincoln Square, Ravenswood. Etc. They might be a little farther away from downtown, but downtown is dead at night anyway.
