He still took a dumb penalty last night that led to the first goal though.
What was that? Hitting 20 year old 170lb Cole Perfetti? We literally saw a guy shit himself last night when facing him
Clearly it works
Those guys just laugh their ass off when MacDermid gets off the ice after his once a period shift and then get back to conducting their headshots. You think the guys don’t like seeing Trouba, Gudas, et al turn tail and run from a guy on their squad? Or knowing they have a guy that even Reaves and Wilson are reluctant to go with when things get greasy? Fans seem to think it doesn’t matter but the players say it does.
If by close you mean "he touched the puck", then yes, he did come a lot closer than usual last game.I am totally rooting for him to finally score a goal, he came close a couple times last night...I think.
Yeah the only thing I’ve seen MacDermid prevent is retaliations. Plenty of big hits have happened, but all Macdermid does is prevent whatever happens after that.

That's what he's getting paid for. Big hits are still going to happen but it keeps the cheap stuff afterwards down. Like last night when Seuss ragdolled Jost a bit, got grabbed by MacDermid, then Seuss looks up and sees who's right there and immediately steps back and tries to head back to the bench. He's not skilled by any means but if his presence keeps from another incident like what Reaves did to Graves in the playoffs then I'm all for it.
Would you rather Bednar play Kaut 6 minutes a night? Or MacDermid?
That’s because the Av that just got hit is in the dark room.Yeah the only thing I’ve seen MacDermid prevent is retaliations. Plenty of big hits have happened, but all Macdermid does is prevent whatever happens after that.
Because their team was getting a power play, which they scored on.When he full on ran over Helly no one did anything to him.

There’s plenty of nice guy, good in the room, great teammates rotting away in the AHL so those factors alone are not enough to justify this made up importance. The opposition flat out does not get deterred by a guy who plays 4 shifts a night which is why head shots keep happening despite him in the lineup and why guys who are actually on the ice have to take care of business. The fact that MacDermid’s father played with Sakic is just as much of a factor in this.
I'm rewatching the Jets game right now and had to laugh at Moser's call in the third. "MacDermid tries to work his way through traffic. Not necessarily his forte..."
Stop. I'm laughing to hard right now.
No it was at the end when Doctor Seuss or whatever the boy's name was tried to hit him, realised who it was, and stoppedWhat was that? Hitting 20 year old 170lb Cole Perfetti?

Make no mistake, she'd love him if the Avs would have drafted him.Yeah we get it that you dont like MacDermid.
