Didn't like the coaching. Perseverance is good untill it turns into stubbornness. And his philosophy is "if plan A doesn't work - let's try it untill it works". Why didn't experiment? Especially at the end... Kovalchuk must be injured or ill, or smth, he wasn't himself today. Defence - help us God... Even don't want to comment. Ryasensky and Birukov simple not on the international level, Medvedev made at least two huge mistakes, one turned into a goal... let's hope it's only one game, because I don't see how Medvedev won't be in Sochi... Not that good so far...
You again. The coaching system isn't even designed for those players. You could see how it works 2012. Every EHT game was disastrous, then with the players able to execute the system it worked pretty well at WC. It doesn't work with 4th liners, Bill will just pick the particular players who do fit in. What is that experimenting for? Winning an EHT game? There was a lot of changing in moving during the game anyway. Probably too hard to notice.
Our D-men who will go to the Olympics were all decent to very good. You just fail to see it. Hate probably? Ryasensky was not great, but reliable in this game. Try watching the game. He also has already proven he can play on international level. Denisov was quite meh. The glaring holes were Biryukov, Zubarev, Kiselevich(who seems to just get stone legs when he's on the NT. too inexperienced, always hesitating on the plays). That's enough to make the D look bad.
Yeah, I also don't see how Medvedev won't be in Sochi. And it's a good thing, because he was actually good.
The only thing that is not that good so far is the fans always whining about things they have no idea about, panicing, hating, trolling. It's a tough spot to be in a roster spot on the russian NT nowadays. Even if you are good you get bashed. But you probably believe Mozyakin would score a hattrick in every game, right?
