Price versus Van had a positive body language and he got involved a lot with the puck early in the game. His position on first goal against was great (stood up) and he stayed focus after.
Goalies adjust their play based on the team in front of them. As pointed out in an earlier post, he'll play deeper in the net if he's not confident about the team not stopping the cross ice pass. By doing this he can cheat a bit to make those saves, but it exposes him on shots from the slot...
Can't remember who the commentator was who said it the other night but the team has tightened up and it's allowed Price to play a more solid game. Before, it was like the wild, wild west.
The real problem is that we have such little talent on the blueline right now that we have to adjust the play to be boring. If we don't, our blueliners get eaten alive and it's chaos for our goalies. Now that things have settled down a bit, it greatly helps.
We're still gonna get killed in San Jose though.
I don't know what's up with that, but we just get destroyed by the Sharks.
