Saw it yesterday. Was good, but it kinda seemed like a letdown because the rest of Phase 3 has been so spectacular. But it certainly wasn't bad, I'd put it in the middle tier. It just doesn't hold up against Dr. Strange, Black Panther, Civil War, Ragnarok, and Infinity War.

Yes it is a tremendous villain performance. But to me it loses its luster when you compare it to Civil War and Infinity War which, in my opinion did a much better job of weaving multiple characters and their story threads into a stronger narrative. A1 by comparison was very segmented in its narrative style and it felt like the sequence of events in was less organically put together to tie everything together.

When I think of A1 I think of a fun roller coaster of comic book action. And for its ride, humor, and actor chemistry I do put it above Civil War even though I think Civil War is the objectively better movie. While Infinity War...it may have had its flaws but for how much movie it had to pack into its runtime, it's something of a pacing and narrative triumph. Plus the individual acting performances were miles above the original Avengers: Saldana, Evans, Hemsworth, Brolin, Downey Jr., Olsen, Gurira, and Bettany in particular.

It felt like with Ultron, they tried for a deeper and better written story but in trying to do so really bombed at it.

I am surprised people rate Civil War that high. This movie is literally about the airport fight. Remove this fight and what's left? Nothing else to remember about it.

I don't think it's good but a lot of hate for Thor: Dark World; I thought it was below average and a much much much better movie than IM2 or IM3. I will say Black Panther was the most average movie of the bunch and Capt. Marvel was above average.

Yeah phase 2 was pretty easily the worst. Lots of mediocre to bad movies. The only good thing for me really was the set up for Civil War/Infinity War. Feel like most of it could’ve been done a lot better.

Phase 2 produced 2 legitimately good movies in Winter Soldier and GotG. Ant-Man was a distance 3rd best by default when you take into account the other films during that phase.

How you react to someone listing off all of your accomplishments or otherwise praising you publicly still says a lot about your personality. Calling attention to it (by retweeting in this case) and "flexing" is very different than downplaying it, being gracious or even not addressing it.

It hasn't been suggested that there was anything wrong with what Netflix tweeted. It was nice what they did. Others having your back and pumping your tires so that you don't have to do it tends to be valued in societies where pumping your own tires is frowned on, and Finland is famous for its modest people, so I don't think that our societies are that different in this respect.
