Schenn was ok, but nothing I’d give Grzelcyk plus two NHL top 9 players for.

I concur, He's a solid NHLer but he's not a difference maker to the extent, where your giving up three NHL body's for him.
I like him as a player but he's not worth that price. He does have they intangibles where you just can't look at the stat sheet in what he brings but the same can be said for Grizz.

I thought Schenn was excellent. Strong on the puck, physical, good reads and steals, good defensively, good passes, good speed...

I don't want to give up Gryz at all, but if they can make a deal work without him they'd be absolutely beastly down the middle.

Really?

I thought he was pretty good. Nothing super fancy, but he handles the puck well and finishes all his checks.

I agree, but we should not be selling the farm here. If Armstrong is getting wishy-washy because his teams just out of a wildcard spot then "Thanks and have a good flight". Scheen does not look worth overpaying for and the Blues want us to overpay, IMO.

Yes I agree...That's why I like Dzingel. Going to lose some forwards to injuries as well.

I dont think Dzingel does anything for us.

Good player.. but we need something more established, especially for the playoffs.

I just dont see him as someone that can fill our top 6. Reminds me of a faster version of Heinen...and hes currently a 3rd liner

What I mean is I wouldn’t trade Grzelcyk, Heinen, Cehlarik plus a pick for him or something like that. I think Grzelcyk plus JFK is about as much as I’d go.

agreed - was very impressive. wonder if he had a little extra juice in his skates tonight knowing that the b's
are interested. i'm pretty sure he knows that. he was a pain in the ass all night. constantly in the mix, the
physical play, the short/quick passes. schenn would be a game-changer for this team down the middle.
and that 4th line could just tazmanian devil the opposition on quick shifts.

Who would you pair Schenn with on the 3rd line? I feel like the Bruins putting him with developing prospects who don't play his style of game would be a waste. IF we get Schenn, I hope we also cash in some more chips and get Ferlund.

I’d still be happy if we got him for the right price.

I'd be willing to pay with young players/prospects(quality still) who don't have spots on the roster, but I'd fight to keep the 1st no matter who they are adding.

So does Cehlarik emergence help reduce some pressure on Don? Or still too early?

My selfish want is Dzingel...it may not costs as much as some of the other names being tossed around.

Hell no, it would be a big mistake to think few games from Cehlarik eases up the need to add a quality player.

it's a good question, and i'm not even sure how they'd do it. heinen would be a good fit, but is he going the other
way in the trade? if so, maybe backes and donato if they aren't acquiring another winger. you'd also spot schenn
into the top 6 on the wing depending on situations, and he could easily play #1 PP as well. the "3rd line" is a train
wreck and will be curious to see their solution.

True but it does give them a bit of breathing room, I mean the guy has three points in two games and has played great. With the break coming they can wait a bit longer, at least on the need for a RW. The kid line needs work and badly but they barely get 10 mins a night, they are the true fourth line at the moment.

Again, I hope not. 2 games is way too little.
I'd be disappointed if this changed the goals they've had and started to target weaker players. Even as of now they are fighting for a playoffs spot.

Boston doesn't have the depth to recover if one of the kids fails to deliver.

now would be the time to pounce, 3-4 years down the road and the way this guy plays, he`ll have put a ton of hard miles in on those skates

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, he'll have new skates by then. Book It!!;):sarcasm:

How do you know the developing prospects wouldn’t fit? If Heinen doesn’t go the other way, I would go:

Donato-Schenn-Heinen

17 and 43 aren’t the most physical players and I think Schenn’s contrasting style would be good for both of them.
