No wonder the Canucks are on a losing streak - no focus.

They are not concentrating on the task at hand.

Happening now. We're at BC Children's Hospital with the team as they visit some very special kids.

Booth! Again wasting his time on extracurriculars and not practicing!

"I didn't know you were coming today!" says this #Canucks fan, smiling ear-to-ear.

First push-ups and now concentrating on shootouts...

Mike Santorelli is the only Canuck to score more than one shootout goal this season — he has two in eight attempts — but is out for the season after shoulder surgery Jan. 30 to repair a labrum tear. Ryan Kesler is 1-for-6 in shootouts and Daniel Sedin is 0-for-4 and the club could use a T.J. Oshie. The Canucks rank 21st with a 3-6 shootout mark — 1-3 at home and 2-3 on the road — and those lost points are becoming crucial. With 22 games remaining, the Canucks need a 14-4-4 run just to get to the 95-point postseason bar. Hence the mid-practice shootout Monday.

“We found a better way,” said Canucks coach John Tortorella, who has never warmed to the shootouts, calling them ‘a gimmick that should be out of the league’. “We did it after practice and did the ice and we’ve found a better way with it being spontaneous between the drills.”

John Tortorella is a New Age coach. Take that Dallas Eakins. This not your father's John Tortorella.

Hey hold on... to get to a shootout do you not have to be tied at the end of regulation and OT? The Canucks have lost 7 straight games in regulation so it seems shootout practise may not be all that helpful.

Kinda brings to mind this image:

It sounds as if the lineup is in a state of flux for the game but do not expect Jensen to get the call.

“(Kesler) was in this morning and had some work done; we’ll see how he is (Tuesday),†said Canucks coach John Tortorella. “I’m not overly concerned about him missing a couple of days of practice.â€

“A lot of different things may happen after Wednesday, when we see where our health will be,†Tortorella added, in reference to the injured Kevin Bieksa, Alex Burrows and Chris Tanev not practising Monday, although Burrows is expected to participate Tuesday.

“We may bring in other people from Utica and send Lain back there. Jensen’s game has been coming and we want to keep him playing. He’s not ready. He still needs work, but it’s on the upside and that comes with winning. We’ll take it game by game.â€

Hamhuis did not seem overly excited to be back from the Olympics when interviewed at YVR.

Maybe because of this sort of treatment coaches Grumpy and Grumpier?

 Hamhuis always looks morose though. The coaches look like they're reacting to a family friendly G rated joke that you just know he's famous for.

To Frankie: "orange you glad I didn't say banana?"
