Canadas population is similar to Californias , but spread out over a much larger area - so the logistics of handling this virus are night and day.
It as nothing to do... it's all about doing the right things to be prepared and listening to scientists and professionals in the know... you never see another leader in the world path themselves in the back while there's lack of medical supplies and people are dying because of his inaction and ineptitude.

his job first and foremost is to protect America lives, just as it’s Trudeaus to protect Canadians

Are you not getting it or refusing to acknowledge that if our suppliers world wide decide to take similar retaliatory action the outcome will be even worse?

You do understand that we are the biggest importer of all health related goods in the world?

What I get is, we won’t be needing nearly as many of those imported goods if we don’t get this virus under control.

We really cant though

Since Trump has come on board with his bully like tactics Canada has being doing more and more business with Europe and Asia, we can no longer rely on doing business as usual because of him. Trump has forced Canada to be more diversified and while the USA will always be the number 1 trade partner, we will not be as totally reliant on the USA as we have been.

At the end of the day countries are going to blame the world leader for playing this down. We assume the title and throw our weight around and people pay attention. They may not say anything openly because of our money and they know how petty trump can be

Worst yet we are still not reacting to the pandemic with any urgency .No national program . Not even a stay at home order . Wake up trump people are dying

You can absolutely lay into China for their lies about the disease. That isn't racist.

What is racist is attacking anyone of Asian decent in this country verbally or physically and also calling it things outside of either Coronavirus or Covid-19 which are the official names for this virus.

Defiently not at all advocating for violence towards anybody. Just want China's government to be held accountable.

Also don't understand why people are so offended by Chinese virus or flu.

Don't see anybody advocating for the Spanish flu name change.

Double standard.

Coronavirus News: Patriot's owner Rober Kraft donates 300,000 masks to NYC

NEW YORK (WABC) -- New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft donated 300,000 N95 masks to New York City.

The masks were delivered to the hospital at the Javits Center on Friday.

They're part of the more than $1.7 million masks Kraft bought out of pocket.

He then used the Patriots team plane to fly them from China to Boston to help healthcare workers.

I've seen so many posts here regarding USA and Canada leaders messing this up. While it could have been handled better...yes..why is no one hear blaming the actual culprit.

They lied about the disease, covered it up and lied to other world leaders and here we are.

Let's start holding the Chinese government and people accountable for all these "pandemics" and hiding valuable information that could have saved countless lives.

If you want to call me racist fine, but people are dieing all over the world and this shit happens every 10 years.
I do hope we hold China accountable, and that starts with restarting the TPP, but the time for that is after the current crisis is contained because we need them - we need the entire world - to pull together and get through this. Have you ever worked with a team? If one member screwed up - even maliciously - you don't drop them if they are a vital cog in the team (which China currently is because we've exported so much manufacturing to them). You get through the project your on, come up with a contingency plan, and then fire them.

How that corresponds to our scenario? We pull together as a world, grit our teeth, and get through this. We then work with other nations to come up with trade and manufacturing agreements that undercuts China's manufacturing edge. That'll take time and cooperation, but it was something that was already started with the TPP before we backed out of it. My hope is we still have the international respect & clout to reapproach an initiative so grand when we come out of the other side of this.

One thing that won't help? Abandoning more allies during a global pandemic, like we've told 3M to do to Canada..

Germany started intercepting mask shipments bound for Switzerland, Austria, and others a month ago. Weeks ago the EU banned exports and even supplies from 3rd party countries from transiting through to the outside. Yesterday we learned US masks paid for up front by states were being diverted to countries offering more while distributors strung them along.

All this came about after China banned all exports and confiscated them all for their own use, then bought up the available supply overseas, even organizing Chinese companies abroad to buy them at retail and ship them back. Now China wants to use supply availability as a coercive tactic.

China was responsible for this entire situation in the first place. China's virus lab was sloppy and started the outbreak. China covered up the spread to protect the tourist season and their image. China allowed massive events to go on like the 40,000 family pot luck to keep up appearances. China arrested doctors for discussing the virus amongst themselves in private messages, some or all of which are now dead, and is still disappearing doctors for speaking out. China fabricated the statistics that our models were based on and wouldn't allow the CDC into Wuhan. China insisted for weeks that it was not human transmissible. Now China in their state run media blames the US Army for the virus.

This is a country operating concentration camps for Muslims and a massive involuntary organ donation network. It's important to criticize our elected officials. It's important to understand what we need to do better. But before we get swept up in the political rhetoric it's important to understand who bears the responsibility for all of this, where the true evil in the world actually is, and the power they now hold over us while they make us fight over crumbs.

You dont need insulin ?
tell that to 7,5 million Americans.

You dont need chemo drugs from Germany? Tell that to 4.5 million Americans.

You dont need the only suggested n treatment for Covid19 stockpiled in Canada ? Who you just reamed without vaseline?

Yeah, thats a f***ing winning strategy.

The damage done to the economy and the livelihood of humanity is something hard to quantify in financial restitution right now.

The US intercepted a mask shipment to Germany from Thailand. A few days ago the US did the same to France, but in China. And Today the 3M fiasco... all 3 are the US allies..
