Doesn't sound like an upset owner. Buying rings for the Regional Visitors Authority is actually a classy move.
Also, wouldn’t the extra playoff games (likely sold out) be a boost in revenue? Like I said, don’t buy it.Doesn't sound like an upset owner. Buying rings for the Regional Visitors Authority is actually a classy move.
HanQ Anon?It sounds true to me!
This is what we might post in the Tom Dundon So Cheap thread. Was this posted? Reddit so take it with a grain of salt.
I am afraid @saraciv420 is more concerned with seeming balanced to the front office than insightful to the fans. I get that her access is valuable, so I am not upset. But I will also be skeptical of where her analysis lands in the future.
No please, don't hold back on our account, tell us how you really felt about it.That article really pissed me off. It had nothing of value. It was nothing more than a summary of events, with maybe some elementary level speculation. There was no insider knowledge, no truth bombs. Why was there no deal to be had? Why do you leave a Checkers organization who just won a Calder Cup and has done a decent job of developing prospects? What was the hang-up? Why was the timeline of events the way it was? Give us facts rather than base line inferences. I could have written that article based on only reading tweets. It is frustrating that we have nobody willing to give us any real insight. And for her to title the article "Dissecting CH and CC Parting Ways" is embarrassing. Nothing was dissected it was just a compilation of very publicly accessible information. Total trash.
Hang on... they're going to keep the uniforms even though they're no longer affiliated?
More likely they have plenty of time (no season) but no money to do so.I'm guessing they don't have the time to do a re-branding? I'm hoping like hell that we can bring the old black/navy/orange jerseys back if we're not going to be with the Hurricanes for a few years
"Don't the Checkers live in Europe?"It's fun having to explain to coworkers and friends who aren't Hockey fans about this change.
By fun, I mean it has the entertainment value of listening to shitty kpop music.

Roses are Red
Hockey is played with Pucks
I still hate this affiliation change
It totally sucks
For the record. 10 years is a LONG f***ing time to have 1 AHL affiliate.
I remember when I was talking about how the Wolves don't usually prioritize the fact they have an NHL affiliate due to how they value their independence (sure, social media right now is bragging about the affiliate change, but let's see how long this lasts) and people were all "What makes you think they DON'T CARE about their AFFILIATION, HUH?!"
Where can you find their affiliation information on the team website? Yeah, the announcement is on their website right now as news, but where can you find that affiliate information like on other AHL team sites?
When the world stops being so shitty, I'll probably head up to Rosemont and see the Wolves play to examine how the team actually lets fans know they are affiliated with the Hurricanes in practice.
