Not sure if this is the proper thread apologize if it is. But I’m looking for a AHL jersey of Mark Flood when he played with Albany. Any help or direction would be appreciated.

Albany River Rats Game Worn Jerseys

I don't see a Flood jersey here but this would probably be the place to contact someone.

Maybe try JerseyBarn.com, they have a lot of minor-league Hockey garb.

It appears as though Chicago is confirmed for play this year with Charlotte, Springfield, and Milwaukee opting out

Now I'm really happy that we're affiliated with Chicago and not Charlotte LMAO! I wonder if a lot of the Preds/Blues/Florida prospects are going to be loaned to Europe, if not Utica or Syracuse.

Could this have been a factor in Carolina switching affiliates?

Someone reported that negotiations for a re-up started going sour last February. At that time Covid was kind of an unknown. It certainly didn't help things but I think there is more behind the scenes that isn't being shared.

I'm still not happy about the change but with things the way they are it's not like I can go to a game anyway. As it is now our prospects will be on one team so there's that.

The fact that Charlotte is essentially folding for the season kind of lends credence to some of the financial rumors we were hearing at the time. Certainly appears that they are just not financially healthy and a few of those rumors were that the Charlotte owners wanted more of that financial pie from the Canes than was typical for an affiliate.

When was the last time a high-level hockey championship was not defended?

We're going to end up in a situation where the Checkers (franchise) and Wolves (players) both have a legitimate claim to being called the "defending Calder Cup champions" nearly 2 years after it was won, and some third team is likely to end up winning this next one, so we go into the following season (the 2022 playoffs) with a truly weird continuity issue.

I didn't realize until Friedman's article today that Nashville is also sending their prospects to Chicago. So the Canes will have to share a team anyway.

Not happy about that. Of course now the rather underwhelming number of contacts signed for minor leaguers makes some sense.

With a taxi squads for NHL team, I would assume some of these teams need to have some extra players available to them, no?
Yup, 100% not worth getting upset over this year. Teams will not have all their prospects or AAAA guys in the AHL this year. They'll be on the Taxi Squads. Considering we're possibly a little light on prospects this year, this seems like it would help. And we still have our coach there.

If they are paying some of the affiliation costs, I'm sure the organization is pretty pleased.

with every taxi squad requiring a goalie (or the team can carry 3 on the nhl roster) there are going to be a lot of backups thrust into starting roles in the ahl. sharing a team at least means it is more likely you'll have an ahl level tandem instead of one guy not ready to carry a starter's load and an echl'er.

i have no idea the goalie depth of teams who will not share an ahl affiliate - so i could be totally wrong that they'll be running echl guys out there. but it does make sense of some of the goalie aquisitions this offseason if teams were expecting the taxi squad format, like the canes grabbing beebo (hail!)
