"despite a handful of people disagreeing with what most people saw as the likely outcome, this is an excellent opportunity to tell people that I also was correct"
Who were the doomsayers? Isn’t it common sense that if the NHL is returning, it’s likely the AHL would as well?
Is it a predominant view in main boards? Or a minority?Main boarders, not Canes board guys (for the most part)

Not sure if this is the proper thread apologize if it is. But I’m looking for a AHL jersey of Mark Flood when he played with Albany. Any help or direction would be appreciated.
Albany River Rats Game Worn Jerseys
I don't see a Flood jersey here but this would probably be the place to contact someone.
Maybe try JerseyBarn.com, they have a lot of minor-league Hockey garb.
Not our AHL-team anymore, but interesting.
E: Saw that @Anton Dubinchuk had already posted this in another thread. D'oh!
It appears as though Chicago is confirmed for play this year with Charlotte, Springfield, and Milwaukee opting out
Could this have been a factor in Carolina switching affiliates?
Someone reported that negotiations for a re-up started going sour last February. At that time Covid was kind of an unknown. It certainly didn't help things but I think there is more behind the scenes that isn't being shared.
I'm still not happy about the change but with things the way they are it's not like I can go to a game anyway. As it is now our prospects will be on one team so there's that.
I didn't realize until Friedman's article today that Nashville is also sending their prospects to Chicago. So the Canes will have to share a team anyway.
Not happy about that. Of course now the rather underwhelming number of contacts signed for minor leaguers makes some sense.I didn't realize until Friedman's article today that Nashville is also sending their prospects to Chicago. So the Canes will have to share a team anyway.

Yup, 100% not worth getting upset over this year. Teams will not have all their prospects or AAAA guys in the AHL this year. They'll be on the Taxi Squads. Considering we're possibly a little light on prospects this year, this seems like it would help. And we still have our coach there. With a taxi squads for NHL team, I would assume some of these teams need to have some extra players available to them, no?
If they are paying some of the affiliation costs, I'm sure the organization is pretty pleased.Yup, 100% not worth getting upset over this year. Pretty sure any team or owner would. We aren't the only affiliate that will be shared in this bizarre season either. If they are paying some of the affiliation costs, I'm sure the organization is pretty pleased.
