Just had a baby boy that is sure to be another die hard flyers fan! I'm thinking by the time he is 5 and can make some memories we will have a championship won and the Flyers will be the talk of Philly sports!

Dealing with all the fall out from the break in, the hospital, etc. But on Thanksgiving, we caught my cat, who'd been outside for almost 3 weeks.

Happy to report that the vet gave him a clean bill of health :)

^---- nice.

So about 5 or 6 years ago, me and a bunch of friends are over my one friends place. It's either mid January or Early February, theres about a foot of snow on the ground and its snowing that night. We are all hanging out drinking a lot. Decide to go out in the hot tub, because we do that. Have our fun out there drinking smoking enjoying the 100 degree hot tub in 4 degree weather while its snowing. One friend decides hes had enough goes inside to sleep and leaves the door open. Owner of the house is a 50 year old single guy who also lives with friend, we were all 17 18 19 at the time, and this guy LOVES his cat, LOVES feeding his cat. This thing was wider then he was long, like literally bigger then a basketball. Well it got out, and no one knew because we were out there for hours before we went inside and found the door open. So cat is lost, we look for it can't find it anywhere weeks go by my friend is made to scrape a dead cat off the street with a shovel and put it in a box to bury it because "ITS DEFINITELY OLIVER! YOU KILLED HIM!". Another snow storm comes we get another couple inches. A month and a half after the night he got out, neighbor kids found Oliver in their shed. Alive and skinny as hell. This thing survived for 6 or 7 weeks in the middle of january or february in close to 0 degree temps with snow on the ground the entire time, unbelievable. Guy takes him to the vet and is told that he is now diabetic, meanwhile the dead cat scraped up off the road sat in a box in the back yard because the dude was too lazy to bury it for months. Eventually a racoon or something got to it.

Idk I just wanted to share my story about a cat that got out.

My cat was born a stray and survived for several months alone somehow. He's pretty much a badass. Although, he wants nothing to do with going back outside.

Same thing happened to a cat we rescued during a snowstorm. He was awesome and then he ate a poisonous mouse and we had to put him to sleep. Poor guy was only 2. :(

Bummer, sorry to hear about that. I was never a cat person. The wife (before we were married) convinced me to get one while I was living alone in another city for work. And since then, he's been the coolest pet I've ever had.

On the flip side...RIP Scott Weiland. Never a HUGE fan of his bands, but always liked his work when I'd give it the time :shakehead

Anyone have Tom Clancy Siege? I have it for the Xbox one....

I took the game out of the case and put my life back in the case. Highly addicting and maybe the most tactical game I've ever played. Beats all the COD's going back to MW1. I have fallout and like it but.. man this game is 9\10 minimum.

That moment when you bought tickets to see Star Wars in IMAX two months ago for next Thursday and realize that you can't even get the tickets now because you closed the credit card used to buy the tickets and wiped your email account due to credit card fraud.

So, the wife is not a sports fan. She played soccer growing up and we have season's tickets to the Whitecaps, but that's pretty much it.

To prove this point, I challenged her to name 4 active NHLers. There's pretty much a hockey game on in my house for every minute that I'm there, so I figured this should be pretty easy. Shockingly, she quickly named 4 Canucks, so I asked her to name 4 non-Canucks.

Her list, which took her 5 minutes to come up with:

Ovechkin
That guy from the Penguins... Um... Crosby? - direct quote
Jagr
... and Visnovsky  She has an unhealthy affinity for the name, so I guess it stuck with her.

Sadly, no current Flyers, though she usually avoids me when I'm watching a Flyers game.

 sounds like me and my grandfather.

He calls me after every Flyers win but never calls when they lose because he knows I'm probably in a bad mood. He thinks it's hilarious.
