I just don’t know how you can start the regular season in good form if you can’t beat the Coyotes. I don’t care if it’s just the regular season. I’m sick and tired of starting the regular season on the back foot and playing catch up in January. This vet core is infamous for dialing up the don't-give-a-s*** meter for meaningless games. We saw this for the entirety of 2018-21 once they were eliminated from playoff contention and every preseason so I'm not too worried about PLD going ghost mode so far.

It's the kids that I'm worried about. Vilardi left no doubt he belonged in the NHL last preseason. Not seeing any of that from QB, Kaliyev, Bjornfot etc so far.
