Dang. That Faulk trade looks a bit worse. We gave up Faulk and a 5th for Joel Edmundson, Dominic Bokk, and a 7th (Guslistov). Edmundson was a soldier for us for one year, but we really did lose some a quality asset on defense in Faulk. Basically, the Blues paid in cap space. It was almost like they picked him up in free agency for the $6.5M deal. It's quite possible the Blues lose as Faulk is 33-35 on the last 3 years of the deal. But for us, we lost Faulk and got back a year of Eddie, it looks like.

Canes did one of those late round pick trade-down spams and turned Eddy into a 5th round pick, which became a 6th (Mercuri) and a 7th (Naumov). So really, the Canes traded Faulk for what became, on net, Bokk, Mercuri, Naumov, and Guslistov. Not exactly the moon or the stars, but that's still a bunch of penny stocks that are still in the system, even if none of them are likely to pan out. Guslistov is still certainly a KHL curiosity, however.

Montgomery has as many points as Cade Webber and Mattheos. As has 1 more point than Heimosalmi.

Unfortunately zone usage and such arent given to know if Big Monty has the opportunity to get more points.

Some guys will handle the missed year of development better and sooner than others. Some will never recover. This will just kinda be the nature of things.

Jackson Blake had a 6-game lull in points with 1 G and 1 A in that time span. He responded this weekend with 6 assists in two games.

Robidas had 3 games and 2 assists in his last games. Val-d'Or is 6th in the Western Conference.

Rizzo has 1 assist in his last 5 games.

Fensmore had 9 assists in his last 5

Morrow has 2 goals and 2 assists in his last 5.

If it makes you feel better Blues fans are having the exact same conversation about Faulk and Pietrangelo.

We were never going to resign him for what he wanted.

If he would go with Jackie Blake, he'd likely have had to try twice as hard and gotten twice as many points.

Drury is hot right now.

he is on a 9 game point streak with 4 goals and 7 assists. 1/3 of his season total is in the last 9.

33 points in 46 games. He has had a couple of scoreless streaks of 4 and 5 games but has been very consistent contributing on offense.

How has his defensive play been?
