Seahawks had 2 17-9 wins vs. the Eagles, now a 17-9 win for the Dragons.

The QB play in this league is bad, which then reflects your league as a whole.
These are supposed to be guys who were great in college and have been on NFL rosters or practice squads for about 2-4 years. Most should be around 25-27. But, there’s no familiarity between any of the offensive players so even in the NFL the O is generally behind the D early on.

but the XFL is going to need some offensive to keep viewers tuned in.

Much smaller crowd in DC than last week, but maybe people are still tailgating.
You can't tailgate there. There are barely any parking lots.

It's outrageously cold and this isn't Canada. People aren't really imcentivized here to watch football in 38 degree Temps.

That being said I did go yesterday. The sro is basically a big frat party. There was a snake of long beer glasses lol

Also FYI the crowd

17000 last week

15000 this week considering the cold

Seattle had 30k at their game too. This league is fine.

Interest will inevitably wane once the curiosity factor goes down. If the ratings remain steady that will be a tremendous success for this week. 38 degrees is not cold, people should be used to that this time of year, but to go from 17k to 15k, I wouldn’t be concerned about that.

Has the play clock always started once the ball has been spotted, and not when the prior play ends?

They're doing the former today. That really isn't innovative, it used to be how it worked in college.

I'm probably about done with this league. If Landry Jones was their best hope to see a former NFL QB make some plays, then this is a terrible showing. This game is awful.

I'm surprised the XFL hasn't told the broadcast to take the 45.5 over/under off of the screen. Next week's O/Us should be in the 20s because these offenses have nothing.

We’ll see the next game, Houston had the best showing last week. I can’t say low scoring wasn’t expected. These are all essentially makeshift teams, there’s very little rapport among players especially on offense.

You see how important timing and rhythm are and a lot of these QBs and receivers had it, they wouldn’t be here.

3-point conversation! I don’t know why they went for 3. 19-18

I remember criticizing the AAFL for neuteuring the defense rules to make offense easier as it was meant to be a developmental league. I think the XFL needs to though. The football is bad.....
