Is Lavoie their whole offense?
Pretty much. He has 25 points, next highest is 17. He also has 101 shots, 2nd most is 45.
Anyone got any words on the rest of our prospects?

Seems like outside of Lavoie, no one is doing anything of note.
That's because all of our notable prospects are in the AHL besides Lavoie and Broberg, who is playing against men at 18 and won't be putting up many points.

Broberg isnt really getting many minutes either so really hard to judge.

Our AHL guys appear to be doing okay. No one looks close to making an NHL impact

Yamamoto, Benson, Marody, McLeod, Bouchard, Jones, and Lagesson?
The top 3 all have issues that they need to solve to be a factor in the NHL.

McLeod still needs a couple years in the AHL to round his game. Bouchard still really needs to work on his defensive game and neutral zone game. Jones and Lagesson might be ready for bottom pair minutes. But that's a maybe.

"No one looks close" is still an exaggeration though.

Yamamoto and Benson are close and maybe deserve one call up, especially with how our scoring is going. Jones deserves a callup while Manning should waived, screw his salary, just get rid of him Lagesson deserves a game and Russell should be shot to Mars to live like the dude from The Martian

Manning actually hasn't been bad in the games he has played.

Benson and Yamamoto are not close enough to make any difference. Yamamoto would still get crushed and run over at the NHL level and Benson needs to work on his strength and skating to be effective here.

Yamamoto will always be small by NHL standards

Then he needs to either get faster or stronger on his skates or he will be useless in the bigs

For a miniature player his speed and agility are just so underwhelming.

Calgary has Dube? And another guy, can't remember name, that both look so much faster and shiftier. Watching all those guys in preseason really opened my eyes to how far Yamamoto is from the nhl. Even his scoring from high danger areas is extremely sub nhl standard.

Long ways to go for Yamamoto. He does not need a call up this year. He needs to really work on his game.

Dube and Phillips? Yamamoto is better than both.

We desperately need a high quality forward that can control the second line....but yeah even though were likely to pick around 10 to 12 ......we will end up with a low teen early twenties euro dman...you know cause this once worked out for Holland.

Dube and Phillips? Yamamoto is better than both.

Maybe overall. Maybe... But both can skate circles around Yamamoto.

A five point NCAA weekend!

Rasanen: 2a
McPhee: 1a
Brind'Amour: 1g
Kemp: 1a

The NCAA added lines to their box scores which is kind of cool.

The BC boys are getting good opportunities. Rasanan is playing #1RW with Cotton and Mattila while McPhee is playing #2RW with McBain and Boldy.

Brind'Amour is at #4C, Kemp at #1RD, Cairns at #3LD and Kesseling at #2RD.
