The report is that he went up and came down on another players foot and rolled his ankle. I doubt the extra weight was a factor.
I'm going to go with the well renowned trainer on this one thanks.

Gaining 33 pounds since the draft put too much stress on Simmon's foot. http://www.espn.com/blog/los-angele...cautious-with-weight-gain-to-prevent-injuries
"but told reporters he weighed 217 before the June 23 draft." http://www.espn.com/blog/los-angele...cautious-with-weight-gain-to-prevent-injuriesHe might have gained 33 pounds, but it more likely from when the season ended (March) til now. So that is 7 months. I think he played at 220 this season, and by the draft he was 240. It was noticeable difference between when he played and the draft.

Im kind of hard pressed for time right now, but I just googled it and on draft day they said he was 6'10, 239.
Agreed, but the list of players who have suffered lower body injuries is not pretty and some of the players included are: Sam Bowie, Tracy McGrady, Afernee "Penny" Hardaway, Bill Walton, Danny Manning, Ralph Sampson, and Grant Hill.Nice. I hope he stays healthy.
What? I literally see this nowhere.Massive rumor right now of Demarxus Cousins to the Raptors for Valenciunas, Joseph and Powell.
