You know, I feel like there was 1 guy out there who had given up 1 earned run in his last 57 innings, but I'm probably just mistaken. Nobody pays me to be a baseball manager after all

AS A STARTER maybe...but when the guy has like eight career bullpen appearances that's a little different, never mind the 11th inning in a tie winner go home game on the road.

Ubaldo has been great last month or so but still no excuse not to go with Britton.

buck got away with it in the 9th....you just cannot leave your best pitcher on the sidelines going thru the heart of the jays lineup, especially after how hard donaldson and travis hit the ball off of ubaldo....

Before everyone demands Buck Showalter's firing, even if Britton pitched the 9th AND 10th, the Orioles were doing nothing offensively outside of the 4th-5th-6th innings.

The other 8 innings- 0 hits.

They would have had O'Day for 11 and 12, yeah if the 13th comes and you have to go to Ubaldo then so be it. If you use your best pitcher for 2 innings and lose oh well. If you keep them in the pen for a magical nobody else can do it save situation thenyou deserve to roasted for it.

Hopefully this will teach the old school people who like to save their best pitcher for saves to smarten the **** up. And it reduces the number of moronic times this happens in the future. The game will be better for it

Well this silly gimmick just produced one hell of a ****ing game. You can either sit back and complain about it, or enjoy the great games.

Even under the old format, Toronto and Baltimore would have played game 163 to decide the Wild Card since they both had the same record.

Not a very well managed game, on either side. Sure, the bullpens both did their part, but Gibbons really should have held off on using Osuna, and DEFINITELY shouldn't have put him out there for a second inning. Just plain stupidity. :madfire:

Could have just as easily kept Grilli on the mound. We'll soon see how bad a mistake it was to overwork Osuna.

Also, another home playoff game, another reason for American announcers to decry us "boorish" Canadian fans, all because of one ****ing idiot who nearly pegged Kim with a full tallboy. I hope he took a few punches from the fans around him before being tossed from the stadium.

No issues what so ever bringing in Osuna when he did or letting him go out the next inning.
