Wasn't paying much attention to the Gopher game. How'd Gilmour look?

Didn't notice him much to be honest, I'll try to keep a closer eye on him when I'm there on Sunday

Gilmour looked pretty solid for a freshman today, he didn't stand out but he wasn't out of place.

I made a point to keep an eye on him for a few shifts, he's very responsible defensively but he's definitely not a gamebreaker. He's a nice complimentary piece on that Gaudreau line but he's not a guy who can carry a line (at least at this point). Down the road I could see him being an NHLer though, he's got some size and he uses it well.

Finally got around to writing about his weekend. Looked good in spurts, other times you could tell he was freshman. Smooth skater. Isn't the most physical player. He definitely fits in well on the John Gaudreau and Bill Arnold line. Gaudreau likes playing with him.

He should have played in Iowa this season IMO.
Its important to learn the way of NA hockey sooner, rather then later. (Read; Brodin)

I wouldn't mind moving Bulmer at the deadline personally.

Personally I am bullish on Bulmer, big power forward with tons of grit---looked sold as an NHL'er as a 19 year old.

Just a word of cauton with Gabriel, keep in mind his draft eligible year was the same as Phillips and Graovac. Phillips already in second tear as a pro and Graovac in his first--just want to keep things in perspective.

Had 20 in one game. Boarding (5), misconduct, and then a fight. Had a fight in his last game, as well. That's 25 in two games. Hopefully, the 20 remains an outlier.

Of course. I'm not expecting him to carry on that type of offense to the pros but its certainly a good sign that he's using his body and size, which I AM expecting in the pros.

To be fair though, Konopka had 86 points in 61 games in his last junior year. I'm more interested in what they do at 16, 17, 18 than at 20.

Personally, I think that is slightly unfair. I'm equally interested in 16-24. You obviously have to see where they are playing at and what style they play to get context, but really don't think age should be used as a framing tool.
