Wow that return is terrible. NYR has an absolutely STACKED group of forwards. It's like a team you build on NHL23.

People are comparing NYR and BOS. One has the best goaltending in the league and one has some of the worst goaltending of a playoff team in the east. For me, outside of BOS, the rest of the east is a crapshoot come playoff time.

Right. Shesterkin has struggled but don't pretend that's who he is as a goalie. That's ridiculous. WTF has Ullmark done in the playoffs? Why even play any games? Just give the B's the trophy.

Good thing goaltending is completely random and that can reverse tomorrow.

Curious to see if Gallant goes with this unit. Or move Tarasenko to the 2nd unit and have Krieder on the first unit.

Absolutely 1000000000% Kreider is on PP1 over Tarasenko.

ESPN posted this yesterday and all the Rangers fans were laughing in the comments.

Kreider is 10th in PP goals since he entered the league full-time and the names ahead of him read like a HHOF induction ceremony.

Tarasenko is a better overall offensive player but Kreider is world-class on the powerplay and low-key one of the best net-front players of all-time.

This is a pretty crazy unit with the option to move Kreider in and out. I gotta say as a Devils fan I don't not want to go against this ! Gotta say tho us having Hughes , Hamilton , Meier, Bratt & Hischier does stack up against this very well. Crazy to see how much talent both teams currently have.

Yea bc their problem was definitely scoring PPGs. Its in fact the only way they scored last playoffs.
They had 62 goals in the playoffs, 18 of them were in the PPG. That gives you a share of 29%. That is 5% higher than the current cup champions had.
Only way? Or you just lowkey like Mika's one timer.

That rebuild went past fast, and even that Laf and Kakko are weak 1sts and 2nds. Imagine Rangers if they had guts to pick stutzle at that draft.
Winning the 1st overall ensured the rebuild was going to accelerate. First and second overall talents on an ELC supported by the vets the Rangers already had would have made them incredibly competitive. But, needless to say, it hasn't worked that way.

NYR management took the consensus guys. None of us NYR fans are upset about those choices. It's more everything that's come since that has been the divisive issue.

Chytil taking a big step forward this year is huge for top-9 depth, and the Trocheck signing makes the top-9 center depth improved over last year. Trocheck is a much more balanced player than Strome.

Laf and Kakko keep showing short flashes, but it's been very streaky. They play at their best together, so that's what Gallant has been doing.

Yeah, both are probably seeing the game at the same, a bit lower pace.

Scouts sometimes are dumb, Some should had seen t
Lafs manphysicality was a huge reason for his advantage in junior. And that Kakko was not all world winger, could easily scanned for the best versitaile center.
