I really liked the Pilot of this show. I like Elliotts character and the idea of him using his hacking skills to find dirt on people and kind of be a vigilante that way. I thought the show would focus on that...like when he busted the kiddy porn guy.
The show has gotten super trippy. It's not terrible but it's getting away from what I liked about it.
Agree here. The pilot was very good. Made me really want to take part in the show. It was simple, but that's how shows become epic. NCIS runs the same format almost every show and all it does it dominate. Hell, even their spinoffs are popular. Hacker new age vigilante with social issues, family issues, trust issues, and a friend who he's in love with? Yeah... that will trap a lot of viewers in a good way. Instead... they went, as you said, full trippy.
I don't think it had to be every show, and I would have been fine with a bigger plot (much like Person of Interest), but man the show just tries so hard to be different, weird, and over the top. We get it. You are edgy now, USA. But stick to good content because the first episode was ridiculously good.
Each show gets worse and worse, in my opinion, and I am now okay with not tuning in.
