This might just be chalked up to an over reaction from tonight's game but it's a general feeling I've had for a while, even though I know "it's early".

There is too much carry over from previous teams that disappointed to this year's version of the Leafs.

Keefe is a big part of this feeling, I know people are going to point at the winning % etc but the same people will say this is a really talented team, shouldn't you be able to win the majority of your games with the roster we have?

Does anyone else feel the same? Is it fair to Keefe? Is it on the players? Are they both equally disappointing or are we still going to go with "It's early" ?
I agree 100%

I'd probably want to see how this team fares in the playoffs first. I'm not overly down on them just yet because they finally won that elusive playoff round while also now having potentially changed some of the supporting cast for the better (according to the playoff stats).

Jarnkrok on the first line is not working and Kamph is a 4th line/pk centre. JT line looks good and he should leave it alone imho. Knies maybe deserves a good look on the first line I think, he’s a great puck hound. Third line is pretty thin though, maybe centring Domi-Jarnkrok-Holmberg/Gregor, not a lot of options unfortunately

It’s time to fire Keefe. His system doesn’t work and it’s time for something different.

If the problem is Keefe, does that mean that Dubas built a team good enough to win but his ineptitude cost them?

Or has he just been handed a roster that can't get it done?

Seems it can't be both.

The Leafs have been good enough to make it past the 1st round more than once. It’s the coach.

Trade Keefe for Sullivan - Dubas would love to reunite with his buddy and Keefe can work again for his " hockey idle " as he stated when he worked for him..... Terrible Coach

Keefe starts Kampf in OT to win the draw. Boston controls the draw, Kampf plays the first 1:30 of OT with Marner. Now u have to juggle all your pairs. What a mess. Keefe with horrific decisions every game.

Kampf in OT is the ultimate "afraid of losing" decision. Rookie bullshit.
Or, it's the rest of my centres are 8% on faceoffs and I'd like to start with the puck...

It is a bit much though. Imo it has to be Matthews... figure it the f*** out 34.

And where did this logic lead them?

To Kampf being accidently triple-shifted in 3 on 3 OT.

FO% doesn't matter. It's 3 on 3, there's turnovers every play, the goalies gotta make a save anyway. You're not scoring with f***ing David Kampf as one of the 3 guys. The coach is such a f***ing moron for doing this.

Head to head against the combined efforts of Jim Montgomery coaching on top of a Bruce Cassidy foundation, you can see a pretty clear case for firing Sheldon Keefe. Sloppy, unprepared teams where nobody is ever playing to their capabilities for a sustained amount of time. Random line shuffling not meant to solve any problems but create new ones.

Get the specialist to lose two faceoffs in OT cause you don’t trust $22 million in Tavares or Matthews.

I think like anyone, we are fine with oddities when the work in our favour. But when they don't...

In the end, this game was not won or lost in OT so I have no problem with the decision.

10 million dollar guys not getting shots on net in a skill competition, I do have a problem with.

Team has been good to avoid skids for most of the last 3 seasons. Keefe wont survive one and we might be a loss away from officially being in one.
