Playing in Russia probably prolonged his career about 2-3 yearsLol hopes to play 5-6 more years? Missed that first time around. Thats... not going to happen imo.
I agree; he was sentenced to 10 years in the gulag that was the Thrashers in the NHL's equivalent of Siberia.I'm pretty sure the Kovalchuk/Devils split was mutual. I don't really get the hatred for Kovy. He's one of the most exciting players in the world. And he stuck it out for years as the only good player on a failing franchise in Atlanta.
Elite players don't usually have much trouble being impact players into their late 30s/yearly 40s. Kovalchuk is a freak physically so I wouldn't hold my breath on him losing a step anytime soon.
Canucks come on down.Ha plans to play 5-6 more years. Someone is going to give him a 5 year deal and regret it.

He’ll just retire after the first two years of the contract.
Of course, because, well Toronto.Would love him in Toronto on a short deal. I could see the interest being mutual as well.
Not at all what I was saying. Toronto isn't far from being a serious contender. Older vets look at those types of teams to sign short deals on. No, I don't think everyone wants to be here.Of course, because, well Toronto.
Toronto wants to allocate the cap cost for 5 more years it will take? Not at all what I was saying. Toronto isn't far from being a serious contender. Older vets look at those types of teams to sign short deals on. No, I don't think everyone wants to be here.
