Stop with this, just stop.

These guys are what they have been for 60 games, no surprises coming.
and yet i remember reading in past yrs that team will show case certain type of players to show what they can provide......

it is a common practice, whether you want to admit it or not.

of course it will not be that if someone has a narrative to want to promote.

edit, and pls i am not saying that you have a narrative i am using that as an example.

You know why the Bulls terminated Doug Collins for Phil Jackson (minus the Jordan angst)? The Bulls said Doug Collins was important to get the Bulls from point A to B. However, he could not get the Bulls from point B to C.

It sounds like the same case for Q. Q got the Hawks from point B to C. He was great. However, the Hawks are back to point A. Q is probably not the coach to get the Hawks back to point B. It's just like how Phil Jackson couldn't be a point A to B coach.

Interesting comp. The A to B, B to C thing makes sense and gives it a different perspective.

In the annual NHLPA player's poll, 16.5% of the league's players would most like to play for Q, meaning he's the guy that players would most want to play for.

NHLPA Player Poll 2017-18

Spin your narratives at your leisure.

Uff got a 5% vote for next assistant to be a head coach. Interesting.

Players love Q and he is proven. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

UC was 2nd favorite place to play.

Hawks voted as having the best fan base.

Hmm that is interesting. So maybe it's not that he has lost the room and people don't want to play for him anymore, but rather the combination of his system/inability to adjust along with our aging core that has been the problem? I'm sure both have played a role in our 1st round exits and ****show of a season this year.

While these polls are interesting, I wouldn't put too much stock in any specific result. Q could have very well have lost the room and still gotten the vote share he got in the poll from players from other teams who really wouldn't know.

Lol at 3% calling Price the best goalie of all time.

If someone does hire him after he’s been reassigned, we receive their 3rd rounder either the following draft or the one after that, their choice. Happened with Toronto for Babcock and Lou.

Q is absolutely a player's coach. It's just time for the pendulum to swing the other way. Need new systems at the very least. Not doubting his ability to coach at this level. Just think he's not a fit for this team anymore.

There are m9 excuses for failed clears when you gave the puck and n9 body is within a stick reach of you..and yet we see this all the time with Q's squad. ..if you cannot teach/coach how to clear a puck like am NHL level pro should then why are you a great coach? No ...you are a lousy coach if details ate not cared enough about by your sloppy or lazy or unfocused players ..execute basic clearing ..a staple of goid teams..but no...not pn the Country Club " Players' Coach"of Coaches teams.
Sloppy clears deserve benching and bag-skate till it gets in a pkayer's head that yes ...clearing efficiently is ...you know.. rather important for success.

Another rather basic necessity is for Dmen to use their bodies to impede attackers amd knock them off pucks ..
But Q teaches only stick checking ...Last night we saw physical play be Duncan Keith...stopped a rusher I his tracks by using his body to hit him ...Probably the first gone Keith fid this in 5 seasons or maybe never...What took him so long ?

The fact Q let his players get away with sins of comission ,like failing to clear ,or sins of omission like not using your body to stop opponents in their tracks proves that leniency is for loses ..Maybe great goaltending can mask such poor habits...but otherwise something bad is going to hapoen if you cannot clear pucks out or cannote stop a rush and let a guy get past you from a weak flail of a stick check.

Hawks make way too many simple mistakes, altogether... They reek of a team that does not practice enough, or is not focused enough. They are almost never sharp or crisp...they come out flat...and play inconsistently from one period to the next.

It is pretty clear this coaching staff has outstayed it's welcome.

This was clear last season.

Loved Q's comments about how NHLPA players polled voted Q wasvtge #1 coach they would most lije to play for and he replied to reports that it was because he was "too soft" ...So true..
For who would not to prefer a Cou try Club work environment ...a lenient ,little practice ,never bag-skate coach that keeps letting mistakes or not full 60 efforts get in the way with his pals...the players....such that a flip the switch mentality of confidence prevails UNTIL that ship has sailed andvthe "17 sevonds" foes not happen anymore.

Now there's a comment that will surely be taken out of context. He's obviously joking.

Time for Bowman to use the poll results for Q, UC, JT, and the fans, and make the push to acquire the other JT. Can’t believe he wouldn’t want to play for the Blackhawks given all of those lofty rankings. Oh, and throw in the great uniform, especially compared to the crappy Islanders uni, and it should be a done deal.

Time for Rocky to fire Ronald Macdonald and Stan, this is ten times more on Stan than it is on Q. When you don’t have talent to work with and players that can’t pass or shoot and they are already at the NHL level how on earth can you teach them? I still believe in Q but hate his line up combinations and players he chooses to play but I really don’t think it’s the way he is coaching, the player on this team just suck and no coach in the world can coach an AHL team to the playoffs in the NHL...

The answer to the problems of not ready to play....not ready to play full 60...Stars goofing off, cliques of stars vs. grunt support group/kids...inability to shoot. ..inability to pass crisply...PP. ..exits...want..all this...is tgat tge coach is responsible for efficiency focus and motivation ....efficiency issues ought to be fixed by practice sessions that fox the problems. ..focus and motivation are fostered by a joint purpose and want buy-in that again the coach is responsible for by getting his squad to buy 'on..to be together on the same quest..We have seem recess and time off instead of practices that fix problems. .we have seen highest paid stars goid off too much..we have not seen a team together nor ready to pkay full 60 at leastb80% of the time...Rather we are lucky to see 2/3 periods of goid hockey 20% of the scheduke..All this Q has got to be responsible for ..If he can no longer motivate hunger and sacrifice (tgecredukts speak for themselves but the eye test confirms a Country Club rather than a focused club set on achieving gtheir One Goal ).

Wouldn't mind adding Bill Peters and Ron Francis to the organization this summer, should they both leave Carolina.

Another example occurred tonight at 9:25 with Murphy. Yeah, Murphy mishandled it and made a physical mistake but the framework that caused it to be bad is system based.

We dick around with the puck in front of our net but play perimeter hockey in the offensive zone.

Has anyone ever seen such an asinine system or thought process put forward?

I said years ago, the Hawks are easy to play/coach against. They won with superior talent.
