I believe so, but I'm just talking about PP units. Shouldn't a guy who is supposed
to be a power play specialist get some legit time when the team is on the PP?

I don't know how good Schremp's slapshot is. If he has a good one, then by all means use it. As far as the PP units are, Schremp has been getting PP minutes. Not as many as the first unit, but that's because the first unit already has cohesion, chemistry, and success (Kessel, Bourque specifically). If the PP continues to falter, I would think putting Schremp on the first unit would be a good idea. But I'm not the coach, so this opinion is just moot.

IIHF.com is supposed to keep track of icetime, but they have 0 listed for all players and all rosters.

US need to get their game together - this is the poorest I've seen them so far this tourney. They can play better than this. First game I've seen of the Russians - man they're playing well. Much more physical than I expected. Going to be very tough to beat with that fire-power. Schneider has to stand on his head for the rest of the game and the US top line has to get it's act together...

The booing is tasteless. What an embarassment. Johnson's elbow was tasteless, but enough is enough.

I agree it is getting old. Canada will have their hands full with either of these teams. Vancouver is not the classiest city in Canada. Wish it was in Edmonton , Red Deer and Calgary. And before everyone fron Van jumps all over me i was born there and am embarassed by it. This is not politics people get over it.

Schremp controls the hash marks and has a NHL calibre shot.

The poster claimed that the booing was due to the retaliatory hit on Downie from Johnson, what I am saying is that is not the reason at all. The declasse Vancouver "fans" have been booing the USA the whole tourney.

Are they not allowed to? I'm one of them and I'm hardly "classless". I cheer for the American anthem but I will boo the USA HOCKEY team. Just like I boo the Avs. They're my team's rivals. That does not make me classless and I'm tired of being called a classless idiot for cheering for Norway and Switzerland when they play the US.

Good to know their are some classy Vancouver fans out there...the display of Anti Americanism is sickening by the Van fans..........mayby when Canada has to dig itself out of the debris of a coming terrorist attack and the Americans rescue our asses again, then mayby the braindead Anti Americanism in Canada will end!!!

Please American friends, a lot of us up here appreciate you and what you are doing!! Never forget that.....

I agree with you, as a Canadian I have been embarrassed by the anti-American reaction from these idiots in Vancouver. I hope they never get another tournament like this again. Pathetic! :shakehead

Do your Canada bashing in the politics forum please. This is so out of place right now. I'm proud of the fans at GM Place. They've cheered the American anthem, they have not behaved inappropriately toward the US team. Take the Canada bashing elsewhere because I don't see anyone bashing the US anywhere on this thread or even in the hockey game.

The crowd in Vancouver has been ridiculous - I can't get over it. First off, watching Canadian games you'd think there was a funeral going on. The Canadian crowd was 10 decibels louder in Grand Forks last year for crying out loud.

But with respect to the Americans. It started harmlessly. As others noted, it was more out of respect to the fact that Canadians respect the progress USA Hockey has made and recognized them as a threat in the tournament. The Johnson booing was understandable too, stemming from the incident.

But enough is enough. It has gotten out of hand. Downie is fine - he was never really hurt. Move on people!! And as Gord Miller (correctly) noted, it has turned more anti-American than pro-Russian. That's too bad.

Christ, if it was in Quebec the US should just wear Team Germany sweaters. Then the crowd would give us a "white out"

To Red....

An appropiate name I'm sure........it is not a little booing........it is indicative of the Anti American idiots that reside in great numbers in Vancouver........their is huge difference! It would take someone pretty clueless not too see the difference between some freindly competition and brainless Anti Americanism displayed by the classless Van fans....

To Vlad....

The same element that attacked Belsen, Madrid, 9-11,Bali and so many other places will eventually even hit deluded multicultural Canada.....such are the dangerous times we live in.....

NO, it hasn't. I do not hear boos every time an American player touches the puck.

I hear cheers for the Russians.

I am incredibly disgusted at the nationalism and ignorance in this thread. God forbid someone cheers for their opponents at a hockey game, you're automatically classless. Where was your shock when Canadians booed the Russians throughout the 90s and cheered for their opponents? Where's your shock when Edmonton boos Calgary?

Vancouver fans CHEERED for the US ANTHEM in the last game.

I am completely disgusted by the comments that Vancouver fans are classless idiots for cheering for US opponents.
