Basically the same return and a far less player.... Holland lost this dealExcept Jensen didn’t get more

To go on a cup run in sunny California? I'm not.Surprised he waved his NTC
I was nervous about the opposite. I didn't want them to wait too long and have what few interested parties there were take other options, leaving them with like one team that could then almost dictate his price.I really don't know. I wonder if they pulled the trigger a bit early?
Not true. Nyquist returned 2 picks by himself. Jensen returned a pick, then we tossed in a 5th for a lottery ticket, and cleared the roster spot for them. Had we not taken bowey washington likely waives him.Basically the same return and a far less player.... Holland lost this deal

Didn't they already trade Florida's second round pick to Ottawa in the Karlsson deal? That's great news. I really think they could package their latter two 2nds and move into the first round.

wait until you hear what he’s done for years nowI also think the return was mediocre. But it's hard to expect a first rounder for an average rental. I'm just glad Holland is selling instead of buying.

A 2nd and a conditional 2nd or a 3rd rounder. It's still two picks.Conditional 2nd
I am afraid the rebuild will live longer than anyone of us bargained for. Like, a decade or two.Get rid of Nyquist before Holland has first crack as resigning him: Check
Get rid of Nyquist to open up more space for younger talent and hopefully improve draft stock: Check
Acquire more potential assets for future: Check
Long live the rebuild!
This ESPN article said we get the lower of the two, so getting Florida's second is a huge boost.
Sharks acquire forward Nyquist from Red Wings
In 2 decades Zadina will be 39. I doubt it takes us that long to be a competent team again..I am afraid the rebuild will live longer than anyone of us bargained for. Like, a decade or two.
This is from an article I found:Wouldn’t the lower of the two be the Sharks pick? The Florida pick is part of the Karlsson deal.

42 is lower than 60.Wouldn’t the lower of the two be the Sharks pick? The Florida pick is part of the Karlsson deal.
Happy with the deal. Its nothing to be ecstatic about, but I wasn't expecting anything more then a 2nd for Nyquist as deep down I always thought a 1st was wishful thinking.
Hopefully he goes and wins a cup in San Jose, then re-signs with us in the off-season to a reasonable contract. I love the chemistry he and Larkin have together and would like to see it continue.[/QUOTE]
