Not high on Silf, don't know **** about the other prospect and the 1St shouldn't be very high. Seems like a good deal for Ottawa.

Sens could be pretty hard to play against this year. I think they have a good team. Leafs took a step backwards today, IMO.

Bruins and Sens I worry about.

I've always liked Bobby Ryan. Incredibly talented and a gifted player. However, if the Wings didn't want him after the last series against Anaheim I can't blame them. And if Bobby Ryan doesn't resign/win a Cup, Ottawa lost this deal really, really badly.

It's a good gamble but I'll bet the house that Ryan opts for FA and goes to the highest bidder in two years. And I highly doubt that will be Ottawa.

But this certainly takes the sting out of what happened earlier today

Interesting. I guess that's a pretty decent reason. No better up-close audition than that.

Ryan is weak. Puts up the points, but I've never been impressed with him either.

We got one year of Alfredsson without giving up any assets. Ryan would've cost something like Jarnkrok or Tatar + Sheahan + 1st at least.

And that playoff performance...:help:

Agreed with the above. He's not impressed me, ever.

Hear that the Habs are close to trading for some toughness...
