Did I miss the Carter rumor or something?

Hes currently playing as their best forward, and he probably loves it in hollywood, why would he waive his NTC to come to Ottawa?

Are going to pick up Mile Richards to so Mr. Carter feels comfortable enough to perform? We wouldn't want to displace him from his drinking buddy again. That would be a pretty traumatic event.

Carter is the opposite of what I'd want on this team.

We need guys that make the players around them better. I really don't see Carter that way, and I find that he's more of a distraction than anything.

Murray has already said that nothing big will be happening this year, and he will deal with any injuries by bringing players up from the AHL.

First Carter is not a distraction.
Second He played well for Columbus, they were just a bad team. Nash and Carter took turns being injured.
Third this whole "He only plays with his buddy Richards" is false and hearsay.

Carter is a finisher. He is a centre that is capable of playing wing. Something we need.

Carter and Nash are both finishers. They did not gel together. Carter and Spezza would.

We could just let the young players develop so we dont have to acquire a band-aid and waste assets.

LA wont trade Carter for a downgrade + prospect.

If we stay the course and at the deadline we are out of the playoffs which is a good possibilty with Spezza's injury..

Who do you see the Sens dealing?

Goncher is the most likely

Michalek Maybe

Bishop

What about Anderson if the deal makes sense? And have Lehner and Bishop as the goalies..Or is that still too soon?

Afterall we are in a rebuild..

The kings have under 15m in cap space and they have 12 players signed next year. They are going to have to do something. Especially playing the way they are with having a 1st round pick.

Any chance we could trade Bishop back to StLouis?

Maybe a package deal of Greening + Bishop for Michalek.

michalek isnt a difference maker/game breaker. he needs someone to feed him the puck otherwise hes useless. hes like greening with more finish/skill. murray should trade him eventually i dont see him as a long term piece of the puzzle

Carter has a no trade clause. So the question is, do you think he would waive it to play with Spezza?

Why would St. Louis want another goalie? They have a tandem of Elliott and Halak that is the best 1-2 combo in the NHL. If you're referring to the fact that Jaroslav Halak is injured, he is less than a week away from returning. Also, they have another Bishop like prospect in Jake Allen who is 22 years old and arguably ready to be at least a backup in the NHL.

There is absolutely no incentive for the Blues to get Bishop back.

Elliot has been terrible this year.
