That's probably the best (realistic) Karlsson trade proposal I've seen from an Ottawa perspective. Potential elite first line winger, second line centre, top 4 D.

There's talk about a couple of sens players but unfortunately it's mostly about Karlsson . Other GM' s are currently pushing hard because they want to use 2018 draft ammo.

I don't think Karlsson goes until post July 1st i think. Melnyk and the organization want to limit damage control and want to keep their "promise" of offering EK a deal.

But boy, there is a lot of talk.

How about Karlsson to the NYR for Filip Chytil, Neal Pionk, 1st Rnd pick (9th OA), 2nd Rnd Pick (39th OA), and 2019 2nd Rnd Pick? Not enough... too much?

The Rangers would still have two first rounders and a second this year.
