I can only imagine the CBJ/DET rivalry next year if CBJ gets in and DET doesnt. If they would have won just 1 of the games against us we wouldnt even be having this conversation.

Ugh. Not surprised. It's as if the Preds wanted the Wings to win. Mason started and sending down FF. Of course the Wings get lucky bounces and go on a tear down the stretch.. ****..

Also, who in the hell is Derrick Bang? I know most NHL player names but I seriously have never ever heard of this guy before tonight.

Edmonton needs to suck up some pride and take it to the Wild tomorrow. The Oil are 1-9 in their last 10, which is just disgusting. Get off the tank train for a night, boys.

Doubters.

Gonna win tonight. So are the Wings.

Saturday, we're going to roll the Preds. Then, after the game, nobody leaves, as the Wings/Stars game is put on the scoreboard. The players watch on the ice. The Wings blow a third period lead and lose.

Pure glory.

It's all going according to plan.

Go to bed early on Friday. Sleep in on Saturday, and take a nap. It won't be for the faint of heart.

The Jackets began season 5-12-2 (12 pts).
Since Feb 26, 2013 they have went 18-5-5 (41 pts).

IMO, Bobrovsky put this team on his back on March 3rd.

Wow. I didnt realize they started so poorly. What a job this team has done to turn it around.

Rooting for you guys to pull it off on Saturday. One of the great stories of the NHL this year.

Good Luck!

Jackets have the best record in the West in March 1. Only Pittsburgh is better overall.

PIT 26gp 22-4-0 44pts 1.69ppg
CBJ 27gp 18-5-4 40pts 1.48ppg
CHI 26gp 18-6-2 38pts 1.46ppg

For over half the season now, we've been the best team in the West. Too bad we were the worst team for the first 20 games.

Hoping the Oilers can stop the Wild tonight. Minnesota has an extremely easy last two games but we can still hope that they choke! Would make it easier on our hearts Saturday night.

Just sharing. Hello, hockey gods?

Just gonna repost what I posted this afternoon because I like it.

http://twitter.com/mnwildPR/status/327513244874964992

#mnwild is 19-1-0 in its last 20 games @XcelEnergyCtr vs. EDM, outscoring Oilers, 69-32, and needing OT or shootout just 3 of those games.

http://twitter.com/mnwildPR/status/327513395110744064

#mnwild Niklas Backstrom is 17-0-0 vs. Edmonton @XcelEnergyCtr with 4 shutouts, 1.34 GAA, .948 SV%, allowing more than 2 goals just twice.

http://twitter.com/mnwildPR/status/327513359404642304

Mikko Koivu (36-109=145) is tied with Marian Gaborik (59-86=145) for most power-play points in #mnwild history.

It feels like all those games over the years where the DRW float around Nationwide arena for 55 minutes and watched the CBJ work their ass off to get a 2-1 lead. Then they say "Ok.... time to play". Score the tying goal and beat us in OT...... Multiplied by the national debt.

How awesome and right it would be for the CBJ to rewrite that storyline Saturday night by ending the Wings' playoff run and our playoff drought. It's time to change the guard.

I think it was a garbage move last night by Trotz to start Mason against the Wings. If he needed to rest Rinne, he should have started Mason against the Flames the game prior and put his best goaltender in net against 2 teams competing for playoff birth. Rinne would have then had 5 days off between games.

I have a strange feeling that Minnesota will only get 1 point, and Detroit will lose in regulation.

And we'll also lose in regulation.

And then we all cry.
