Yeah, basically this.

A couple of years ago when Edmonton was in the Cup finals, they ended up blowing out Caroline in game 6. I think Don Cherry(or someone from CBC) said this was the worst type of win Edmonton could have because Carolina would be fired up for game 7 after suffering a embarassing lose. Carolina came out flying and obviously ended up winning the game and the Cup.

It's all about trying to fit in a story line. Last season, the Bruins humiliated the Leafs every time they played, and would do so again. I'm sure TahRahNah was furious but so what? They're pros and being "angry" probably won't increase their odds by much, if at all.
