but plekanec either has the same year and we suck again and get a draft pick, OR produces a little bit better...and we flip him AGAIN..

i guess, im not mad because we did IN FACT trade him at the deadline and got some assets in return and now hes back and NOt making 6 mill, i guess thats what bugged me the most, making so much money for being so ineffective..

id definitely be more pissed if we didnt trade him, and just re-signed him after he played out the year as a hab

Doesn't he want to win? He can go be a 4th liner for a cup contender. You don't think he'll be a ticket seller, but one of our main problems is over loyatly to our decent veteran players. We glorify "decent" players in this franchise because the size / passion of our fanbase.

it's his last year after 15 seasons...he just got you Olofsson which looks like a steal ....he played the mercenary..you pay the man a decent pay..big step down from 6 million...especially when the tax man comes..he will bag probably 1.5 million his final year in Montreal.....

I care less about the money...I care more about the minutes he'll be eating that could be better used.

The team has no centres on the big club, it really doesn't matter. It also shows some loyalty to get him 1000 with the team. It's also important to have some veteran leadership if you're going to play some young guys.

At the end of the day though, they have no centres to play in the NHL. They needed someone.

Let's hope few guys will do better job than him at center. I don't want Pleks playing 20 minutes. I hope, just hope he'll get 14 minutes and mostly last minutes face offs. Glad he will celebrate his 1000th game career as an hab, I would have like the same with Markov but it didn't.
