Really makes this place look like a prime destination for free agents. Throw a 12 minute forward under the bus and say he's the reason the team didn't make the playoffs, and make it even worse by saying he only signed here to ink a new deal. I highly doubt that was ever stated to Nicholson, so why the hell is he spouting it.

You should have issues with it when there's no free agents who want to play in Edmonton unless they get overpaid. Nicholson may have set back the entire organization 10 years, if he doesn't get fired. If he gets fired Oilers may save some face.

Why would a free agent want to play for a organization that employs a clown like Nicholson who might as well throw you under the bus by the end of the year? The players don't live in a vacuum, they know what's going on.

Imagine being in such a relationship with a girlfriend or wife. They come home do nothing, you do all the house work, make all the money, take care of the kids...you tell them they need to do their fair share help out even a little.

They tell you to watch how you talk to them or they'll tell all their friends about you and then no one will marry you.

From an outsider's perspective, if management is blaming a bottom 6 forward for the team's failures, then the real issue is that the management group that has put this team together fails to see their role in what's going on. Management/ownership made the team and seems reluctant to take responsibility. Rieder is just a player, and not one the team should be relying on or blaming for losses. Rieder is not the common denominator...

The Edmonton Oiler organization as a whole is well known for throwing players and former employees under the bus. Don't look any further then MacT, Kevin Lowe and the big mouth piece Bob Stauffer.

Hell, Kevin Lowe has even thrown some of us non seasons ticket holder fans under the bus too!

Here's the list of his Clients(link) which does include Hall, not a fan of pissing off a powerful hockey agency when there really isn't benefit to doing so. So many things have to go right and need to change to turn this organization around, I got no time for anyone who wants to spout off, shut your mouths and focus on the task in front of you.
