Polasek never really improved his mobility unfortunately. Pedan is a similar player who is clearly superior all around, which is nice.

Subban appears to have suffered an injury after missing a check. Tried a few times to get up after hitting the boards but didn't seem to be able to. When he got off the ice he went straight to the room.

Adam Polasek was the top scoring defenseman in the Czech league this season.

I never understood why he was consistently shafted in favour of Sauve.

It is very weird. He had a better PPG in the AHL than in the ECHL which is strange, but his stats this year in the Czech league are blowing them away. If you used league equivalencies to translate his numbers he'd probably be producing like a top 4 D-man in the NHL.

i didn't watch then but i thought i remember hearing that he was somewhat mediocre in the AHL. maybe his poor numbers in the ECHL were part of it. we lost him because we didn't qualify him, right?

Think we terminated his contract so he could be free to go back home.
