The Rams should match up well against NE though.

A top run game with the best back in the game against their iffy run defense.

A great Dline that can stop the run and get pressure up the middle.

And 2 decent CBs that like to play man Talib and Peters.

I guess we will see how it goes.

How can anyone hate this guy, i'm a diehard steelers fan but you guys are nuts with your Brady hate, the guy is pure class, he's deserved everything that came to him, he's the Crosby of NFL.
Multiple cheating scandals, always catches the break/things always seem to go their way, oh and the constant dread that he and his team has caused the Steelers just to name a few. If they win next week they are the clear best franchise ever in the NFL. Hell if they lose they still have a pretty good argument of being the best.

OMG.

How can they disrespect the Patriots like that???????

My guess is it will make it's way to even before the game. Goff really came through today in a tough environment. Would be nice to see him have another good game. Hey, if Nick Foles can beat the Pats, Goff can.

I was more making fun of the moron Patriots and NFL with the past few weeks of supposed disrespect to the bull crap underdog Patriots narrative.

Bunch of pieces of excrement the lot of them.

The Pats and Brady are the Marchand of the NFL. Talented but impossible to like.

I can respect the ability but can despise them because they have earned the derision.

they're lot easier to like than garbage humans like Roethlisberger though, as much as it pains me to say it as a Steelers fan.

how can you even say that with a straight face, the man has been to 9 straight AFC championship, and 3 straight superbowls, that's other worldly, that's despite having a below average defense, or a top receiver and a broken down Gronk...the guy is born for big time football, look at guys like Brees and Manning, they are great quarterbacks in regular seasons, but they choked a lot under pressure come playoffs, you'll never see that from Brady, he's led his team to countless final 2 minute drives to win the biggest games and he did it again tonight, not once but twice.

You can't be a fan of football and not appreciate Brady's greatness (even if you do hate him and the Pats), he's the most clutch player i have ever seen in any sports.

I will say it with a straight face.

Brady is the benefactor of a system out into place before he even took a snap. It’s a system that demands accountability and preparation. It’s a system that demands smart players that are able to adapt and adjust on a weekly and even quarterly basis. It’s a system that doesn’t tolerate the bull shit on or off the field. It’s a system that demands that you perform or your ass will be kicked to the curb.

You see, people hold NFL coaches up to be some sort of rocket science geniuses that are doing calculus in the locker room every week. Reality is that the vast majority of them are simply cheerleaders and motivators. They don’t hold anyone accountable. They don’t draft and develop smart players. They instead get enamored by atheletes who are dumber than a box of rocks. There’s only so many formations and plays you can run. It all comes down to flawless execution and everybody being in the same page when you add in a wrinkle. There is no time for ANYONE f***ing up because it could me failure on any given play.

Bellichick is the best at this. The Pats have employed Ernie Adams for years now. His sole purpose is to pour over the rule book and crunch all the analytics numbers to figure out the most probable scenarios in any given situation and how to bend the rules. This guy would mind f*** Tomlin six ways to Sunday with the knowledge he has regarding clock management and in game adjustments. He has a major role in the Pats success.

They draft well and their free agent signings are usually smart. They draft SMART players who are disciplined. They don’t get all giggly like a school girl every time some athelete runs really fast or jumps really high at the combine, they want the guys that they can always count on to be executing flawlessly even if it means sacrificing some talent. Seriously, think bank and tell me the names of the Pats starting RBs for the past 16 years. Now name me all their receivers. See? Their roster never looks great on paper but they can literally plug anyone into a position and have success. I’m convinced they could grab a janitor at Gillette Stadium and put him at slot receiver and he’d have 100 catches and 10 TDs at the end of the season. Brady even made the comment this year that Aaron Rodgers would throw for 7,000 yards in the Patriots system because he is so good. Sure, a little bit of smoke blowing by Tommy but there’s truth to that. Matt Cassel took over on the year that Brady blew his knee out and led the Pats to 11-5. Remind me again what he did elsewhere???

Am I saying that Brady sucks? Of course not, but I’m also not conceding that he’s the greatest to ever live simply because he plays for a coach that has a system in place that no other coach in the league can seem to figure out. It’s more on the rest of the league for not figuring it out...

I don't care for a lot of NFL players as human beings. By all reports Ben has cleaned up his act since marrying and having kids, but was an immature and pretty sorry excuse for a lot of his life.

The difference is that Brady, Bellichick and the Pats all were scum on the field, caught cheating multiple times, and THE LEAGUE covered up for them, then slapped them on the wrist when forced to.

Their scum actions undermined faith in the game ON the field. Others were scum off the field.

Huge difference.

Though off the field, the Pats also are one of the few teams who enabled a player who murdered multiple people.

This. NFL is full of scum and makes it pretty hard to like anyone. That's why I care about the logo/team, not players. I'll save that for hockey that actually has likeable humans.

when's the last time they didn't get the benefit of the calls?

they are good, but when they get the majority of the calls each and every game, its tiresome. i thought being away from home might chnage things around, but apparently not.

Justin Houston and Chris Jones were invisible. Belichick will have a plan for Donald, and maybe he’ll still notch a snack or a TFL or 2, but he’ll hardly be a game changer.

Rams’ D is bottom half of the league, ranks 19th I believe. Good CBs on paper, but Edelman will still have tons of grass to work with. And James White/Sony Michel, rolling right now and hyped to play probably one of his mentor RBs at Georgia, will feast.

Gurley is hurt, or something. Goff isn’t that much of a threat. Remember that Pats D that couldn’t stop Jaylen Samuels? It’s given up 60 rushing yards in 2 playoff games.

All that said, as others in this thread have eluded to: every Pats SB is close, and they did lose to the Giants x2 and Foles last year. But I just don’t see them losing it a 2nd straight season.

And to think: this was one of the best Chiefs teams ever (their defensive woes noted) and an iffy New England team that lost 5 road games to some mediocre non playoff teams this year. But it’s January. So what did Tom and Bill do? Win. What’d Andy Reid do? Lose.

Simple as that.

Agree with everything but Edleman. If he wants to go pick up chicks when single that's his prerogative. That girl was scummy for snapping a photo of him while he was sleeping and trying to boost her popularity. But she ended up getting drug thru the mud for it so...

But... I will included Edlemans PED pop.

I'm hoping between Brockers, Suh, Donald, Fowler Jr. That someone on the dline creates havoc.

Barron is fast LB with size to hopefully cover the middle.

And Talib, Peters and Joyner in the back can do their best.

I'm also hoping Suh doesnt do his normal dirty shit. But it wouldnt suprise me if he tried something.

Also hoping Gurley can heal up with the 2 weeks off or at least get as close go 100% as he can.

My father talks up Belichcik and Brady as if they are these omnipotent beings.

"Do you know how many clear skies New England has had since those two have been there?"

No, and I really don't care.

This team is beyond a train wreck, with Tomlin the conductor.

Meanwhile Rooney has his head buried up his ass.

Rams will live and die by Donald getting in Brady's face. Bill will take away Gurley, Cooks, and Woods and make Goff beat him with his deeper progressions.
