Worth every penny of it. The salt from other SEC fans is just icing on the cake. Vanderbilt historically is a yearly doormat in all sports but actually gets good at something everyone wants to dismiss them and claim they are cheating. It’s not cheating. It’s a loophole that Vandy has and takes advantage of.
It’s a shame that baseball is treated the way it is by the overwhelming majority of schools. 11.7 scholarships for a 30 player team is ridiculous.

We have Title IX to thank for that. An admiral cause to further women's amateur athletics but it holds back college athletics as a whole in a massive way.

Here is a story on Dansby Swanson from the AJC it clearly states he took out student loans to help pay to play at Vanderbilt. Dansby Swanson comes home

Choosing Vandy as his college came with a sizable leap of faith. So convinced was Swanson that the pricey college was the place where he could best flesh out his lifelong baseball dream that he was willing to take out student loans — since repaid — to supplement his partial scholarship.

This has become garbage that jealous fans have started to use against Corbin to disrespect and discredit what he and his players have achieved. It’s ridiculous!!
No one gripes about the recruiting advantage Alabama has in football or Kentucky in basketball. Baseball is the best and most competitive Sport the SEC sponsors they got 10 teams into the Tournament and 6 to the Supers 4 to the CWS. Vanderbilt beat every frigging one of them. Of the 5 other SEC Super Regional teams Vanderbilt had final a record of 10-1 vs them. Everyone just witnessed one of the Greatest teams in college baseball history and all anyone can do is make up bogus crap about them and claim they are cheating.

Proof? It’s innuendo that Vandy is using that to “cheat” the system. Their is no hard evidence and they do turn kids away if they can’t finance their way. Ethan Small was a Vanderbilt commit that could not pay his part of the way and ended up at Miss St.
