Not sure where to ask this, but have we decided on avatars this up coming season, or is it just going to be a free for all?
Anyways, if anyone is doing customs as usual I'm definitely in.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I am not doing avatars anymore. Those Iggy ones will be the last I ever make for the board.

Oregon is such a strange place.

Why are mundane things suddenly cool when in Oregon? Why are Oregon things in general so weird?

Sorry to hear. Those Iggy ones were awesome.

The US Open crowds continue to be the most annoying out of all the majors

Bianca Andreescu is the first Canadian to win a Majors Championship.

**** YEAH

Bianca's rise this year is unreal. She may never lose again.
Canada needed a tennis idol badly. This really came at the perfect time

Hopefully her people tell networks to put some respect on her name now that she has a grandslam. The mispronunciations are driving me crazy

This is amazing. It could have happened sooner if Genie took Tennis seriously, but great for Bianca. She’s the real deal and honestly the best female tennis player in the world right now.

Total random thing to talk about since I’m bored, so here it goes.

Now if you guys have been to America, you’d know the iced tea was total crap down there. I didn’t know for the longest time, but ordering my first and realizing it was nothing like the good Canadian stuff was a disgrace. It tastes like actual tea that was put in a fridge for a few hours with some lemon... gross.

Anyway, I noticed on my recent trip to nyc that they sold brisk down there, and I mean the actual good stuff. Those 2/$2 drinks definitely saved me on some of those 30+ degree days when it felt like everything would melt off due to the heat and humidity. So if anyone was every possibly curious about this (I doubt it lol), well now you know.

I'm heading down to Vegas in the next few days and will be there during the Flames vs Avs season opener on Oct 3

I don't expect I'll be able to watch Sportsnet on tv while I'm down there but I will have my laptop. Any suggestions on how I can watch the game other than signing up for a subscription to NHL.tv/NHL.com?

Hmm....
1. I think you need to look into Arizona Iced Tea.
2. Iced tea is not sweetened in the USA. But sweet tea is sweetened and essentially the same stuff we have here.
3. When in doubt, ask for an Arnold Palmer (50:50 Sweet tea:Lemonade)

I remember growing up, the Cheesecake Cafe by my house would serve their Iced Tea this way. I remember taking a sip and looking at my parents like “what in God’s name is this horse piss?!?!” They would then have to let the server know it wasn’t like “normal iced tea” which the server would reply (as if it was the 400th time that day) that “is how we serve it here”.

It’s weird and even as an adult who has fully gotten over his childhood dislike for mushrooms, brussel sprouts and blue cheese (god I love blue cheese), I can’t get on board with with tea that is cold.

Many of the larger casinos will have sports books where you can watch pretty much anything. I saw Flames vs. Canucks when I was down a few years back.

I think I saw a few atrium with something similar but with couches... I don't know how the heck sound works on a set up like that though.

I just received an e-mail from my auto insurance company that my proof of insurance is now available in digital form and can be saved on my cell phone...

"Great news: the digital proof of auto insurance is now officially recognized as a valid proof of insurance in Alberta.
Better yet: with the Intact Insurance app, you can access your proof of insurance at all times on your phone. You no longer need to frantically search for it in the glove compartment*. "

I'm not a fan of this. Say you get stopped by the police, for whatever reason, and they request proof of insurance... You unlock your phone, bring up your POI, and give your phone to the police officer.
You have now surrendered your unlocked phone to the cops and they can look through it as much as they want and for anything they want and you can't do a damn thing about it.
So until the insurance and phone makers can devise a way of accessing your POI without unlocking your phone, I suggest you just give the officer your paper POI.

Just my opinion.

Print it out and put it in the glove box. Also, only put nudes on a locked screen. Be a man.
