uh, rafferty is a mighty duck guys
I don't know that he's shown enough thus far to call him anything more than a normal duck.

Who are these prospects that are tracking well that show legitimate potential? Not trying to be contentious. I was under the impression most of our prospects were very unlikely to make the show, even in a depth role.
Lockwood
Gad
Dipietro
Mcdonough
Next group would be
Karlsson
Jasek
Woo
Maybe Brisbose the organization seems to like him but we really havent seen him get an extended look yet
And then a some of the Euro guys
Utunen
Costmar

Waiting for GadotWho is this GOD guy and why won't he show himself ???
A gull from San Diego some would even sayI don't know that he's shown enough thus far to call him anything more than a normal duck.
Canucks Army with a nice piece on Jonah Gadjovich....training and working his butt of this off-season to compete for a spot at training camp.
Obviously the odds are stacked against him, but a kid who's working that hard and laying it on the line to try and make it deserves a break. Another big year in Abbotsford and maybe a few call-ups to the big club is likely.
If he can pick up his skating there's still a chance he could make it. Canucks need a forward with his battle level in front of the net.
different types of players.Realistically is he even as good a prospect as Reid Boucher was?
I think that other than Woo the group in Abby will mainly be AHL fodder and have little to no NHL potential, our depth in our system just really sucks.
The team has already turned over there are basically no spot open to prospects next year beyond Rathbone. It is not 2017 where team needed to multiple players to be upgraded. Now we need our NHL youth to progress our prospects mean little. We have little but team does not need much either. Of course it would be nice to have more prospects but it is a luxury not a necessity this year. We have the core in place.Realistically is he even as good a prospect as Reid Boucher was?

You are right that prospect depth doesn’t matter if you are taking a day to day, year to year, approach. But obviously that’s a terrible way to run a team, and equally obvious, in a cap league, you have to consistently have prospect depth so that you can, at best, occasionally move out expensive soon to be free agents and replace them with young players, but at worst, avoid needing to overspend on UFAs like Poolman to fill spots on your team that wouldn’t exist if you had good prospect depth.

Woo maybe, Mikey D yes, big questions over the others. I am hopeful for Lockwood. The future is now with Pod and everyone else who has been drafted and made the team.Lockwood

He'll be 28 then.I think people are righting off Briesy WAY too soon here. Id let him marinate in the A this coming year and one MAYBE two years after that, then get him some games the next season and then the year after that Id easy briesy put him on the third pair and after that who knows the potential. Dmen take longer anyways so hes projecting pretty much on track

Yep....the NHL standings for 2015-16 show that the Canucks were one of the worst teams in the NHL...which means they'd be drafting at the top of each round.....and all they have to show for it is Juolevi and Lockwood.Lol I actually thought you were exaggerating but no.
If Will Lockwood could pan out into a bottom six player it would help take the stink off of the 16' draft. I mean, not a lot, but a little.

Luckily Juolevi is an elite #7 or that draft would look BADYep....the NHL standings for 2015-16 show that the Canucks were one of the worst teams in the NHL...which means they'd be drafting at the top of each round.....and all they have to show for it is Juolevi and Lockwood.
