How exactly is Farabee a steal?
I ranked him around 8/9 BPA and think will be that or higher in a few years. Your right he was picked where was suppose to go i just think will end up better. Have been a big fan

I think quite a few players taken in the early 2nd will turn out better than those in the late 1st

Samuelsson, Berggren, Noel, Ylonen, McIssac, Woo, McLeod, Wilde

You realize that thread was created a year after the draft... A lot easier to call for "steals" then.

The average fan is gonna call a player a steal if he is drafted a lot later than what was projected on public rankings since they never saw most players outside the first round play... Or maybe a few highlights if said player was playing with better/highly touted players (a la Jack Wise).

Crazy how accurate consensus HF opinions usually are in hindsight. NHL GMs can be so dumb

Not so fast prasing HF, friend.

Thread was created a year after the draft. Too lazy to dig out if one was made just after the draft, but I've got a feeling a lot of those "steals" are going to be interesting...

Can I ask what you like about Pujuniemi? whats his potential ceiling?

k I'm pretty sure that's what you get when Puljujarvi and Kotkaniemi do this

Addison, Gustafsson, Nordgren. Addison gambles a little too much but otherwise I think he's better all-round and quicker thinking/more skilled than Smith, Beaudin, Lundkvist. Gustafsson's probably the top swedish center in this draft with big 2way upside. Nordgren's similar to DeBrincat but a good 2way player and a little bigger. He's an elite player against his age group.
