Tyler Madden had a strong development camp for the Canucks.....third rounder and son of one of the NHL's great utility forwards John Madden who won a couple of cups with Jersey....he's headed to Northeastern, same school that developed Gaudette for the Canucks. He'll be a prospect to watch.

Nobody had this guy as a steal btw, but Zavgorodny leads the QMJHL in points right now. Not bad for a 7th rounder.

Him being 5'9 certainly would scare away teams. But that late in the draft, why not draft skill!

Find that unlikely. His point production wasn't all that impressive last season with just 47 points in 62 games (for QMJHL standards, it is meh at best). He's on pace for 107 this year, so its a bit of an explosion production wise. If he was anywhere near his production this year last season, he would've been drafted in the 1st or 2nd round (though putting up 100+ points before his draft year and without Alex Lafrienere would be a lot more impressive). Its a great start nonetheless.

Edited a bit more of the post, but he definitely fell. Could also be the Russian factor, but tbh drafting him at the start of the third is a bit of a stretch before this season, but he definitely could be a quite riser.

Sellgren and Henmen are both good picks by Carolina. Wise is definitely the steal of the draft though. He might turn into a superstar
