If WPG wins, just need STL to get beat within 2 rounds, and Vegas to make the final 4 again.

I was planning to root for TBL and VGK anyways, so hell yeah.

I clicked it like 7 times in a row, and we dropped at least 1 spot every time. I'm not convinced it's accurate.
My large sample size with that site is bogus too. Today I stopped after 1 try because we won, and it's the first time I've seen the sabres in the top two, and I've probably clicked that button over 150 times without exaggeration.

I still think STL is going to steamroll both NSH and WPG in 10 games or less to make the WCF...

But in case I am wrong, good to see the other games tonight going right so far.

If San Jose lose then the picks are just 2 spots apart 21 and 23. If WPG wins they leapfrog and the picks are 20 and 22.

If San Jose gets 1 point then they are separated by 3 or 4 spots if WPG wins or not.

If San Jose gets 2 pts then separation increases by 1.

So all is left now is one of Dallas, Colorado or Vegas to make the WCF and STL not to make them, right? Then we have the 19th pick. Im assuming WPG have won against Arizona already being 4-1 up.

Tankathon has Anaheim getting the STL pick at 20. sharks at 25.

Barring the conference finalists if it ends up being that, STL pick at 20 and Sharks at 25 then so be it. A difference of 5 picks in the late 1st (which is worth probably a 3rd) would not have dissuaded me from the Montour trade.

At the end of the day, #20 overall + Guhle for a proven 25 year old top 4 RHD? Sign me up for that trade all day.

Can't wait to see Montour sign for something like 8 x 4.75 or something of that ilk. We need to make the Montour signing like our Josi deal.

ROR scoring in the shootout cost us 19 vs a likely 22-25 lol. Came down to the wire on this one. If only CLB didn’t suck down the stretch

If any of Colorado, Vegas, Dallas, or Columbus make their respective conference finals (and St. Louis does not), then St. Louis's pick will go up to the 19th pick (or as high as 17, potentially), and Buffalo would retain it.

I find it so absurd that the condition of whether we get the higher or lower pick is dependent on how the 2 teams in question finish in the standings.

If St Louis loses to WPG and Vegas and Colorado advance then that clinches it since the play each other in round 2

Suddenly there’s a lot of horses to bet on.

All of Dallas Columbus Vegas and Colorado are tied or ahead.

Just need 1 to make it to round 3, and a stl loss to Winnipeg or in round 2.

This is becoming somewhat plausible.
