I don't blame Comtois for missing the penalty shot, he's just a kid doing his best.

I blame Tim Hunter for choosing him and costing us a chance at a medal.

Morgan Frost leads the entire tournament in scoring and has never missed a penalty shot. He didn't even get a shift in overtime. The guy is arguably the best junior player in the world in a 4-4 situation.

Hopefully Hunter isn't back next year, really poor coaching from him all around.

He was either unable to adjust the game plan or simply refused to when it was evident that it just wasn't working vs the Russians and then the Finns.

With all those blocked shots tonight, especially in the first, adjustments should have been made to get the puck to the net in other ways.

I didn't notice while watching, but is that true?? Frost didn't get a shift in OT?

Agreed! I think Glass or Tippet would have been alright as well. I just don't understand Comtois.

The only reasoning behind it was to give the most experienced WJC player the spotlight in an incredibly pressure packed moment.

But I'd have still gone with Frost or Hayton. These guy have great hands. But you'd think that the coaching staff would have had a list in front of them with the best guys for shootouts. Refer to the list, period.

Friday's tilt vs. London is looing a lot more interesting if Frost, Hayton, Bouchard, Boqvist are back.

We beat London handily earlier this year with no Formenton and Bouchard. What makes you think it will be different this time?

Sure, you were without a few players and we were missing Hollowell & Hayton last time we met. Friday will be a good match.

By the way,
Sun, Dec 30 2018 LDN 4 SAR 5
Saginaw has 22 wins, Sarnia only has 18.
