Lautaro’s record has fall off a cliff. 2 in 13 and 1 lucky goal in 10 games. Since the his suspension. I don’t know what happened to him but he’s been brutal since then. Before that he had scored in 3 of the 4 games. At this point barca should wait it out and see how he responds to being so cold.

I can't believe that this Immobile is the same Immobile who played for BVB, but we can ask Chelsea and United fans about giving up on players like de Bruyne and Pogba so early as well...

Milan, up 1-0 early at Sampdoria through Ibra, will secure the final European spot over Napoli with a win today.

Just realized that Juve are getting Kulusevski and Arthur next season. 2 superb players. They should repeat again for the next few years I think.

Juve need a creative midfielder and a replacement to Ronaldo as a goalscorer. I don't think Arthur is what they needed, he's more of the same of what they already have. Their group in defense is pretty weak as well. Chiellini and Bonucci are getting old, De Ligt hasn't lived up to the hype, and their full backs are pathetic. Sandro has been terrible the past 2 seasons.

Juve being able to win relatively easily with this group speaks volume about the weak competition, although I think Inter are building an interesting group. Hopefully Lautaro doesn't leave.

Not much in stake on the final game on the season, however it is important to note that there is a slim chance 4th place will not = Champions League. If Napoli wins the Champions League & Roma wins the Europa League, the team finishing 4th will drop to the EL as UEFA doesn't allow more than 5 clubs from one country in the CL. Inter, Atalanta and Lazio could all finish 4th, Atalanta host Inter while Lazio go to Napoli

The three EL teams are known: Napoli and Roma are in the group stages for now (unless as mentioned above one of them win their continental competition) while Milan are in the qualifying rounds

The other big question is who will join SPAL and Brescia in Serie B next season, thats down to Genoa and Lecce. Lecce picked up a massive win over Udinese yesterday but remain one point behind Genoa. Genoa host Verona with nothing to play for while Lecce host Parma. If Genoa wins there is nothing Lecce can do about it, they simply have to better the result Genoa get. If they both end up on equal points, Genoa has the better H2H

Their fullbacks are so pathetic that they are playing Juan Cuadrado a winger in place of Danilo an actual fullback on the right.

Demiral is good and could be part of the answer. They just never gave him a good run of games and when he finally started playing he was injured for the season. De Ligt is a catch 22 for Juventus. If he becomes really good; Raiola will want a transfer to pocket a nice fee. If he turns out to be bad; Juventus are stuck with the highest earning centre back in the world.

Serie B season completed today, Benevento and Crotone go up automatically. Both sides back up after two seasons out, Benevento coached by Pippo Inzaghi and they seem somewhat ambitious although most of the players they are linked with are past their best (Gervinho, Sturridge, Pelle, Glik, Pjaca, Loic Remy to name a few) . Crotone have an extremely small budget so it will be a fight

Playoff teams are Spezia, Pordenone, Cittadella, Chievo Verona, Empoli and Frosinone. The final two spots were decided with a three-team tiebreaker, Empoli and Frosinone edging out Pisa (Empoli made the playoffs with a negative GD). Spezia and Pordenone get a bye to the next round, Cittadella host Frosinone and Chievo host Empoli in one leg matches, the semifinals and finals are two legs. Spezia, Pordenone and Cittadella have never played in Serie A. Spezia has been around forever, mostly bounding between third and second tier but they did win the title during the WW2 era when Serie A was 'disbanded' for a regional format, Pordenone has only been in the second tier for 2 years while Cittadella are a fairly new club (created in the 70s)

Not so good since they are still in the Champions League and are going there in bad form.

Congratulations to Immobile equalling the Serie A scoring record and beating Lewandowski for the golden boot.

Then and there
Lecce sliding towards relegation in the final match, they're losing at home 1-0 and Genoa leading 1-0 after 15 mins. Lecce trail by a point, so both matches need a turnaround for them.

The lead is now 2 goals in both matches.
