Karlsson is great offensively. That's a silver lining. That said he should be glued to the hip with Methot because nobody else can cover for him on this team.

We need to pick up someone like Ehrhoff and limit the icetime or eliminate the ice-time of Cowen. Gryba has actually been pretty solid.

Have you actually looked at his contract? It's actually a very reasonable contract if not a steal of one.

For those that are still protecting Philips, well, as others have said, he simply sucks right now. Cowen and Wiercoerch suck too, but they are still young, and it was not their fault that they were forced to play top 4 minutes.

For the record, Karlsson's defensive game sucks too. At times, he doesn't seem to be all there for some reason, like daydreaming or something back there, and losing guys all night long.

If you can't sit Philips, then at least get someone that plays better, and sit Cowen for a bit. This is enough, must win on Sunday..

That to me is the stat that demonstrates how bad our team is the most. We are one of, if not the most, easiest teams to play against right now.

In all honesty it sucks to not have our first because it could be a solid lottery pick, but if Ryan resigns I still like the trade. He is playing great and is still young. Hopefully he doesn't mind being on a rebuilding team.
