OHLInsiders just said on his livestream it's all but certain Namestnikov is coming. I know some of you aren't a fan of his but he called this first so i gotta believe him when he says this too.

Well, i will echo what others are saying about trusting Sinclair. The Weiss pick to me, is the only one that has tainted his drafting record. If this kid is coming 100% and he's got that top 5 talent like others suggest, then i guess you can't really go wrong.

BUT i swear to god...if this kid doesn't show this year...I'm gonna snap.

I completely agree with yuh, Weiss was Sinclair’s only “terrible” first round draft and biggest mistake. I have trust in who he picks, but yes they better be certain he’s coming

The kid looks like a very high end prospect . I gotta believe that they have a 100 per cent commitment here . They would be the laughingstock of the league if this turns out to be another Weiss situation .

Have watched about 5/6 games of Namestnikov over the last day in a bit on HockeyTv.

Kid is a player. Explosive skater, elite hands, heavy shot, quick stick, high offensive IQ. I was surprised to see he was one of Honeybaked's best penalty killers & Face-Off guys.

I'd be shocker if he isnt quite the point producer for us as he gets older. Be intriguing to see if we take any of his fellow HoneyBaked teammates as this goes on.

Just one clip i found. That explosiveness is impressive. Add in the sick hands & the roof job to end it.

Skill level definitely looks elite! i just hope he hits a growth spurt soon, Be nice if he got up to 5’10 5’11, his dad was 5’10 and brother is 6’0 so I’m assuming he will get taller.

The Sting have done fairly well with a couple of their high end American first rounders like Galchenyuk and Perrault . They were unlucky with Galchenyuk when he got injured in his second year but he was a real high end player.

I like it! Almost sounds like another Reesor but a better skater & bit more offense to his game.

Looks like a tall smooth skating defender. Needs to grow into his tall frame. I wonder if he plays next year or logs big minutes in the OJHL. I wouldn’t be surprised if he played in the OJHL and then came to the sting as 17 year old and played every game.

Yes sounds like a more skilled Reesor, probably less physical and not as strong. But a big, rock solid shutdown guy that can skate. Got to love the sounds of that!

Even though the game has shifted in focus to skill and speed it's always very important to throw a bit of size and grit into the mix. You can't go all the way without it as Kyle Dubas is finding out. If Sinclair can get more big guys with skill bring it on.

Looks like Max will be in a Sting uniform 100% this fall.

Lets goo! Thank god. Least they were 100% confident this time. Seems like a good kid. Crazy he said he weighs almost 180. He is listed at 5'7"

Love how he said he thinks he could take on the biggest guys on the other team. Fearless. What you need when your on the smaller side. Loving are draft so far!

Well there's the big gamble. Seamus Casey. 5'10" Dman. Arguably top 2 dman in the draft. Committed to Michigan.

Being 5’7 and almost 180 that’s a wrecking ball and being gifted skater, I wouldn’t be surprised if he decks some big guys having the lower centre of gravity on them. I still think he will be 5’9 /5’10 when he’s done growing. I’m thinking this kid is going to be similar to domi.

Jeez. Sinclair has his work cut out for him with Casey. What a get he'd be. Holy smokes.

By the 5 th round you’re going for high talent low probability guys. Not very many Canadian players drafted in the 5 th round represent game changer talent, and you can only carry 3 16yr olds anyway. If Casey comes at 18 years old, then Sinclair is a hero.
