I wouldn't read too much into guys not skating on Friday before a Monday game. It's not like these are "practices" in the sense of a pee wee team working on their shots. The idea here is just to get familiar with their reads against Nashville and to keep their conditioning in a good place. For guys with even the slightest reason to rest, give it to them. They can still do the video sessions and workouts and all the rest.

Agreed. My hope would be a return on Saturday before the Monday game.

No sign of them even by Sunday and I will start to be worried about them.

Rod was leaning on Slavin and Pesce hard down the stretch of the season. Good idea to let them recover from that stretch.

Fanbase after the Canes lose a game: "Bag skate these ********s!"

Rod makes the right decision more often than not. I tend to just roll with what he wants to try. It's not like he doesn't know that the SAT line is an option at any time if needed. I tend to like the loaded up top line as well but I don't think it's a necessity.

I still remain completely unworried about the injuries or guys not practicing. It will take something pretty severe for most guys to miss playoff games. Rest them. Getting into a practice would be nice, but again, not a necessity.

Just called my ticket rep.

Yes, capacity is increasing, likely to the full 18k or whatever the league allows. Email will be out from the Canes this afternoon, with a new round of selection for those who weren't able to get in the first time through. Details still being ironed out for those who already got in, so no idea if we could move. That said, this is only for round 1, we will do this again should we advance past Nashville for the remainder.

Where's the choice for Canes in 3? Fully expect NSH to forfeit after the third game. The beatdown will be physical, spiritual, and moral. They will stop keeping score after the second period of the first game, and the clock will be on running time throughout the series. And all of this will be even though you traded your star Center, Victor Rask, away to MN, where he has propped up some 5 th round Russian Nobody to the point that he will win the Calder.

See you in the finals!

Boomer and Jake picked the Canes to win the Cup on The Point on SiriusNHL today. Jake has been ride or die Canes all season.

just checked out that Jake guys picks pre season on Twitter. If he put serious money down on those he would need to work anymore. Picked McDavid for Ross and Hart, Pens, Canes, Avs to win their divisions too. Canes to win the cup. If he even put down $1000 on all those he’s probably looking at $15k. Canes winning the cup would be another $20k.
