Having 2 capable 4th line could be huge.

Tell them to go balls to the wall for 13-15 a game and hit everything that moves. Then rotate. Lets the bruises rest for extra 2 days. Rinse repeat.

let the defense focus on defense. Let the 4th line focus on driving everyone crazy and being physical.

McCormick-Martinook-Geekie
Paquette-Lorentz-Fast

probably won’t happen but at least something to talk about.

I think you can throw McGinn in there too.

That main board thread has had some discussion of how important the preds energy line has been. If the canes have a whole extra one, may as well use it

So I'm gonna go the optimistic route and say who gets left out if all these forwards are healthy?

Turbo-Aho-Svech
Nin0-Tro-Necas
Foegele-Staal-McGinn
Paquette-Lorentz-Martinook

and then you have Fast and Geekie. Hard to leave Fast out of the lineup if he's healthy but hard to leave out anybody else either. The playoff version of Foegele is not somebody you want to bench. I guess maybe could sit Lorentz and have Paquette center Martinook and McGinn with Staal centering Foegele and Fast. But hell, Lorentz brings a lot too. No easy decisions.
More Proof that NN's number is wrong it should have been 90.

Oh he'll bounce around most likely. He's versatile in that sense, but I'm sure he'll have some time on the 4th as well. I just hope he's healthy.
you are probably right.

trying to put together 2 4th lines with 7-8 possible players and with people bouncing between lines gets messy.

We go with
SAT
McGinn-Tro-Necas
Nino-Staal-Foegele (They liked this group the last 2-3 weeks)
some combo of the 6 remaining forwards

We go with different pairs at home and away to shut them down at home and balance on the road?
Slavin-Pesce
Skjei-Hamilton (this pair did work in the beginning when Slavin was out)
Bean-Hakanpaa

Slavin-Hamilton
Bean-Pesce
Skjei-Hakanpaa

or stick with same pairs we have had most of the season throughout the series?

Slavin hasn't practiced since he got hurt

I'm starting to get worried

I'll be worried if he doesn't practice at least once before Monday. They're not saying much but we at least know he skated on his own recently. Slavin is one of the only players I'm not too worried In terms of getting practice in. Even if he's a little rusty, he's better than most.

I don't see it as curious. If we want to go deep, we'll need contributions from everyone. So the sooner we get the streaky scorers going (Nino, Trocheck, etc), the better off we'll be.
I understand wanting to jumpstart a certain player but if these lines can't get the puck to each other consistently or have miscues due to unfamiliarity then it's turnover city.

I wouldn't read too much into guys not skating on Friday before a Monday game. It's not like these are "practices" in the sense of a pee wee team working on their shots. The idea here is just to get familiar with their reads against Nashville and to keep their conditioning in a good place. For guys with even the slightest reason to rest, give it to them. They can still do the video sessions and workouts and all the rest.
