Pronger . . . Hughes . . . yes, yes I see the similarity
Oh no! This is going to send the psychotic Avs fans on the main board into conniptions! Not sure if this has been posted, but I enjoyed reading this latest article on Hughes and the Calder race:
Quinn Hughes has made the Calder Trophy race far closer than mid-season voting suggests - TheHockeyNews
Man was I wrong tooHughes was not BPA at 7 in '18...he was in a muddled group of 4 (Dobson, Bouchard, Smith and Boqvist) I think most of us forget that he had "no pointshot" at all.... like think Henrik. He developed that shot you saw last night AFTER being drafted. Same thing with Horvat and his skating, Pettersson with his endurance.
Although no one would say that we are masters at developing elite talent, you have to give the scouts props that they identified prospects with the potential to overcome the 'knock' on them. Up until the beginning of this season, I was skeptical that we can play him top 2 minutes. Man was I wrong.
Would you trade Quinn Hughes for Jack Hughes one for one at this moment?
I wouldn’t.
This guys gonna command 10+m per year at the end of next year.
Quinn Hughes is worth more than 2 Jack Hughes' at the moment.Would you trade Quinn Hughes for Jack Hughes one for one at this moment?
I wouldn’t.
Quinn Hughes is worth more than 2 Jack Hughes' at the moment.
Luke Hughes had a hot start this year but is not putting up anywhere close to the numbers that Quinn and Jack did at the same age
Thats actually incorrect.
Luke has already out produced Quinn in his 16 year old season in less games. Quinn didnt break out until his 17 year old season.
I might have mixed up years but isn't Luke's draft season next year? Was Quinn a late birthday?
Yes youre correctYes Lukes draft year is next year.
Quinn was a late birthday, but birth year is the only comparisons one should make pre draft. Their birth months are only 1 month apart. They were essentially the same age in their 16 year old seasons.
Three brothers at the top of the draft: number 1, number 7 and not sure where Luke goes but looks like another top pick.
That's just insane. I'm not sure that's ever been done in any sport that relies on a draft?
