Technically, Horvat isn't captain yet. They're waiting for Maatta to come back, then the team will vote on the captaincy. It's between those two, but fans, at least, are leaning heavily towards Horvat.

Yeah. Anyone know how Maatta has looked for Pittsburgh? I've yet to see him in action. Expecting him to stay up until Letang is back?

2013 draft class is gonna be stacked just like 2003 all over again. 8 of top 10 picks made their team. some of these players send back are lighting it up out of the gates.

Ryan Pulock had 2 goals and 2 assist his first game back.

Mantha already has 16 points and 10 goals in just 6 games...

Oliver Bjorkstrand has 14 points and 8 goals in 5 games lol

Anyone have a read on whether the MH Tigers are supposed to be a good team this year? Since it's his last year before he's AHL eligible you would have to think he would be the most sought after deadline rental in the WHL.

Apparently McNally's suspension also includes the first 7 games of the season, so he won't even play until like November 15th. What an absolute waste of a prime year of development.

I'm expecting it to be less of a big deal than people think. Players miss whole years with injuries and manage to do just fine coming back. He has been able to hit the gym, improve his skills and keep practicing with an amateur team unlike those players.

Fully expecting him to completely light it up. The way he kept improving during the pre-season was incredibly encouraging to me.

Still hard to believe we ended up with both Horvat and Shinkaruk from that draft.
