Bonus pool money, 1st pick in the Rule 5 draft.

People say there's no Harper or Trout but if the local boy goes first to another team and turns into the next Kershaw we will never hear the end of it.

That is the silver lining, he's been great lately.

They had no business winning last night. **** the Mets.

Eickhoff has struggled against lhb, he plans on working on his changeup. He makes that a serviceable pitch you could be looking at a 2/3.

I only caught a couple innings last night but he looked to have his changeup working pretty well at times, granted he wasn't throwing it every other pitch. Or are you just talking about changeup against lefties?

Wasn't Eickhoff a throw in?

The real pitching gem in that Hamels trade what Thompson, right?

He was pretty much considered the 4th guy with Asher the 5th and Harrison the salary dump.

Can't believe some people thought the Phils didn't get enough with the Hamels trade because we didn't get their top 2 prospects. That deal looks like a home run.

Matt Winkleman was posting Eickhoff's pitches by start, looks like he became strong when he threw the curve more.

Too early to call it a home run. As good as Eickhoff has been, Asher has been just as bad. The others are promising but have their question marks.

That is interesting, his FB/CB release points towards the end are almost dead on, has to make it hard for a hitter to determine either.

Eickhoff was saying that it took him a few games in the majors to find his curveball because the seams are different than the balls on the minors, so he was using his slider more. His curveball is his best pitch and since he's found it he's been dominant.

He will need a more consistent changeup, but his performance is encouraging. He's definitely a step or two above a Buchanan/Kendrick type.

No reason why Hoskins shouldn't start in Reading. Art Charles is probably elsewhere. I think Eflin is in AAA, MAG is in the bullpen in LHV, Richy is in AA, Leftwich or Gilbert is in Clearwater and, potentially, Bailey Falter is in Lakewood.
