I guess you missed the posts where I said that Cehlarik should have made the team out of camp at Donato’s expense?
well yeah i did as a matter of fact but I don't really care. I know you're a reasonable guy so that doesn't surprise me. Bottom line is I'm excited that this kid might fill a need & don't really feel like pumping the brakes given that it's long overdue. If I'm wrong and he falls off a cliff in the next month then one more dummy is wrong on the internet and the world keep turning I guess.

Kid has one good game and all of a sudden Cassidy, Sweeney, and other B’s personnel are all morons that don’t know the game and HF posters are geniuses

I am guessing that he didn’t get the call right away because he hadn’t been playing well in PRO and only recently turned it around?

That’s pretty boring so let’s go with the B’s FO Hates Cehlarik angle. Way juicier.

I’m whining because I said that teams will adjust if Cehlarik continues to be the trailing F3 all the time, and you disagreed, saying that wouldn’t happen, and Krejci would “make them pay”? I mean because Krejci has been “making them pay” all season on the 2nd line, right?

Another bad habit of mine is assuming that people will actually use their heads when discussing something.

That's been the problem:help:, he hasn't had anyone on the right side who can finish, where he'll be able to make them pay. Not saying Cehlarik is Brett Hull but he's surely as good as the B's have, right now.

So because someone has a different opinion than yours it means their not using their heads. Why doesn't that surprise me,coming from you.

I hate trying to be the voice of reason here. It’s very tiring.

I liked his hands tonight . There were times he had the puck and looked out of position to make any kind of play but managed to find somebody with a pass . If he can consistently do that he doesn’t have to be a good skater .

Need to have a contest on how many games it will take Cehlarik to match the goal totals of the following players who have played an appreciable number of games, most of them a half season or more:

Acciari 1 goal ... already doubled him in just 1 game
McAvoy 1 goal ... already doubled him in just 1 game
Carlo 1 goal ... already doubled him in just 1 game
Matt Grzelcyk 1 goal ... already doubled him in just 1 game
Moore 2 goals .. tied
JFK 3 goals
Chara 3 goals
Backes 4 goals
Krug 4 goals
Heinen 5 goals
Nordstrom 5 goals
Kuraly 5 goals
Wagner 5 goals
Donato 6 goals

Now that I look at it, this team is in dire need of secondary scoring. Almost looks like it would be wise to make a trade or two.

But trades are hard.

No, I’m open to other opinions as long as they are well thought out. The fact that you don’t think that teams will adjust to what that line did tonight tells me that you aren’t using your head.

I’m sorry that I don’t just assume that opposing players and coaches are dunces.

They played Colby Cave on the top line and Backes on the powerplay over Krejci for Christ sakes, Cassidy has made some dumbass moves this year and those are two of them.

don't be a smartass & don't be dismissive. It's not unreasonable to think it was dumb of Bruins management to take more than half the season to give this kid another look. They've been trying all kinds of obviously unlikely-to-work options at that spot all season. Some of us have been asking for him to get into the lineup literally since camp (you too apparently). It finally happens and it works! We're excited! We're Bruins fans! I guess I'm being unreasonable!

There you go again, Reading what you want too read and not what is actually written. Bad habits are hard to break:laugh:

I never said, teams wouldn't adjust, I said the Bruins will make adjustments to counter their adjustments. Like you said coaches and players aren't dunces and that includes the Bruins.

I wasn’t being dismissive or a smartass. My coaches always told be not to get too high or too low and I took it to heart, and that’s how I approach the games.

If I am bursting people’s bubbles because I’m pointing out that teams will adjust, or that Cehlarik will not be scoring two goals a game for the rest of the season, or that Donato had 3 points in his debut...sorry.

Also, as a Bruin’s fan, I have a hard time getting excited about individual performances when the team loses (that goes for every player). I’m sure if they asked Cehlarik after the game, he said the same, or at least I hope he did.

I don’t think the B’s have the personnel on that line to make a lot of counter adjustments. Krejci has never been comfortable as the shooter. Don’t think that’s going to change at this point in his career.

And I keep reading here that Cassidy is an idiot for not playing Cehlarik sooner. So, which one is it, dunce or smart enough to make adjustments? Can’t have it both ways

Looking for excuses and nitpicking instead of admitting that, perhaps, they were wrong about Cehlarik?

Nah, he is clearly a bust. If he played with a NHL pace he would have a hattrick for himself tonight. :sarcasm:

because Colby Cave has played significantly more games this year than Peter Cehlarik. And it took him half the ****ing season to give him a shot after a strong camp.

And yeah "it's been one game" is true, but whose fault is that? That we still don't know exactly what we have in this kid while neck deep in trade talks seems like a pretty major oversight on the part of both Cassidy and Sweeney.

Colby Cave has played more NHL games this season than Cehlarik has in three years with the Bruins.:ha:
